Hey there! I’m Christina! You can reach me at email@example.com
Pretty much everything you’ll find here at Mom’s Messy Miracles is family-friendly from recipes and travel to toys and crafts.
I’m messy and disorganized, but I’m working on that. Some people love to clean, I’m just not one of them. You know that question: If you could have a chef, a maid, personal assistant or something else, which would you choose? For me, it’s a maid!
After three and a half years of dating, I married one of my best friends. I knew I was going to marry him before we ever had our first date (and accidentally told him so, thanks to AIM).
We knew we wanted to start our family immediately, so our first due date was 9 months exactly from our wedding day! Now, I’m Mommy to two awesome (read: crazy) little boys, Charlie (2011) and Owen (2013).
I’ve lived in Cecil County, Maryland my entire life and have no real plans to leave. I love it here, perfectly nestled between major cities, but with all the small town charm. While we do not have plans to move permanently, we do love to travel! I grew up taking a vacation every summer (even if we couldn’t really “afford” it) and intend on doing the same with our boys.
In my spare time, I love to camp out in front of the TV and catch up on my guilty-pleasure shows, some lifetime movies and enjoy a snack I don’t have to share! Before we had kids, Tom and I would spend hours and hours playing video games. Now, he’ll play a little after the boys are in bed and I’m working on the blog.
I love to cook, even if it is only for my family. My favorite recipes, of course, are anything I can get the kids to eat. My kids are not picky, but they do have their preferences. Like Mommy, Charlie could survive solely on mac & cheese.
We decided shortly before Owen arrived that with two little ones, it made more sense for me to stay home. It’s definitely an adjustment (for everyone). I never had much time for social outings with friends, but at least I saw grown-ups!
I started this blog as something to keep me busy (clearly I was clueless as to what life with two boys would be like) and get some interaction with the world again. What it has blossomed into is so much more than that. This little blog of mine opened up the world to us. I’m able to help support my family financially and we’ve been able to experience some pretty awesome things because of it.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you’ll come back to see what we’re up to next!
