Maple Bacon Cake Pops

  1. Prepare cake and frosting according to package.
  2. Allow cake to cool, then crumble.
  3. Add ¾ cup maple and bacon frosting to crumbled cake.
  4. Use your hands to really mix it all in.
  5. Using a mini scoop, make your cake balls evenly sized and place on a plate.
  6. Melt a few chocolate wafers for 1 min at 50% power and stir.
  7. Dip cake pop sticks into melted chocolate and stick them half way into cake balls.
  8. Place balls with sticks in them into the freezer for about 20 minutes.
  9. Melt chocolate in a tall slim container (this makes it easier to dip the whole cake pop in without all the twirling and swirling) for 1 min at 50% power. Stir and microwave in 30 sec intervals as needed.
  10. Dip cake pops into melted chocolate and add a few pieces of crumbled bacon immediately (chocolate will harden quickly).
