We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

If you peek into my freezer, you’ll find several staples that we always have on hand. One of the most popular items in our freezer is definitely Eggo Waffles. The boys have waffle sandwiches for breakfast and pack peanut butter and jelly waffle sandwiches for lunch. What I love about Eggo Waffles is the amazing versatility! You really can use frozen waffles for everything!
Now that Charlie is in school for the full day, we don’t get to cook as often as we used to. We try to get in a little kitchen time on the weekends or after school. This easy Waffle Crust Pizza recipe combines the boys favorite things: waffles and helping in the kitchen!
What’s great about these Waffle Pizzas is that the boys, at just 3 and 5, can make them almost all by themselves.
To get started, pop your favorite Eggo Waffle in the toaster to give it a little crunch.
After the waffle is toasted, top with a little bit of sauce. Make sure you spread it around and get it into all the waffle squares. You can leave a little around the edge unsauced for the crust if you’d like.
Now here’s the kids favorite part, add the toppings! I put out cheese, pepperoni, peppers, onions, broccoli, and pineapple this time. Whatever you have, put it out there. Kids love just about anything on a pizza, especially if they’re making it! This is a great time to use up some leftover veggies hiding out in your fridge.
When the kids have completed their masterpiece, place the pizza-topped waffles on a baking tray and pop them in the oven under the broiler for 3-5 minutes.
And the best part? Eating the Waffle Crust Pizzas!
- Frozen Waffles
- Pizza Sauce
- your favorite pizza toppings
- Toast frozen waffles in toaster.
- Top with about 2 Tbsp pizza sauce per waffle.
- Add your favorite pizza toppings.
- Broil 3-5 minutes in oven.
- Enjoy!

Eggo Waffles now have colors and flavors from natural sources! At Walmart, we picked up a few boxes to restock our freezer. Charlie picked out Kellogg’s® Eggo® Thick & Fluffy Original and I grabbed a box of Eggo Nutri-Grain® Whole wheat waffles for Owen. Honestly, the boys are thrilled with any of them and we really came home with five boxes.
Remember how I said Eggo Waffles now have colors and flavors from natural sources? That applies to the full Eggo product line at Walmart!
And right now, you can earn $2 when you purchase ONE Eggo® Breakfast Sandwich, Bacon or Sausage varieties only, 8 ct. box only at Walmart. You know I’m always happy to save some money!
Frozen waffles can be used to create so many tasty dishes! They’re just like the ones you make at home – still made on waffle irons, just larger ones! What yummy recipe will you create with Eggo Waffles?
