I’m sure we all know that the best sound in the whole world is a baby’s laugh. This Hide ‘n Spin Monkey from Bright Start’s Having a Ball Collection is sure to get your little one laughing.

Bright Starts Hide 'n Spin Monkey

Owen just turned 1 on the 29th. This is the perfect gift for him! The Hide ‘n Spin Monkey plays silly monkey sounds, songs, and lights up! What toddler or baby wouldn’t love that? If you’re baby is not yet standing, they can still play because they’re able to sit or stand. To play, you just drop the balls into the monkey’s hat. He’ll count the balls and then spit them out. The leaves on the chutes can open up to let the balls roll around for chasing fun.

You can press the monkey’s nose and the monkey will hide! His hat has buttons on it with different shapes and colors that light up and dance with the music.

Hide 'n Spin Monkey

This is a gift that is ready to go with 5 balls and batteries included! I really like that the balls are labeled with Bright Starts. We have quite a few different balls around the house and this is a nice way to make sure the right ones go in the right toy. The Having a Ball Collection toys will all use the same balls, so that’s definitely another plus!

Bright Starts Hide 'n Spin Monkey review

Owen hasn’t completely mastered everything, but that’s the great part about this toy. It’s a toy that will grow with him and help with colors, shapes, and numbers. So, not only is it really fun to play with, but it’s educational as well! We love toys that sneak a little of that learning stuff in!

Who this is for:

The packaging says 6 – 36 months. Owen is 1 and loves it, but Charlie (3.5) also enjoys it! I think anyone from baby up to preschooler will love it.

What we love:

I love that Owen loves it! I love the how bright and colorful it is and that it is so fun to play. I really love that the monkey counts as the balls go in.

What we don’t love:

I wish it had a better place to store the monkeys (we’ve been trying to keep them inside the monkey’s barrel. We’re terrible at losing balls, but it’s nice to know we can purchase extra balls if we need to.

Buy It:

You can buy the Hide ‘n Spin Monkey at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Buy Buy Baby.

You can find out your baby’s B.L.I. (baby laugh index) and enter their contest here. Owen is a 78.8 and the Hide ‘n Spin Monkey was recommended for him!
