Last night I went on a much needed date night! And no, it wasn’t with the hubby, though that would be nice too. I got together with another mommy that I haven’t seen in what seems like FOREVER. It’s so nice to go out and talk about things (even if it just about the kids and the hubbies).
I’m sure I chatted her ear off, but since I quit working to stay home, I don’t get the chance to talk to real, live people very often. You need to do things for just you every now and then too. Remember that mommies need friends and time away. And though sometimes a trip to the grocery store by yourself feels like a getaway vacation (and yes… I’ve spent an hour in the grocery store to just come home with a single bag), it doesn’t count as a night out! When was the last time you had time out with a friend?

I am so with you! I spend 95% of my day with 2 under 6 and then when my oldest gets home, I then have only 3 little people to interact with( No adult conversation really!)…..and I am super notorious for going to the store and being gone a few hours and not have gotten much….I know people that work at the stores or I run into someone I know or I just take my time enjoying the quiet and the me time!
