It’s important to try and get your bible study in before the kids wake up. Once they wake up, it’s as if the day just slips away, without you knowing where it went. Don’t worry because there are ways you can get that bible time in before the kids wake up, without losing your mind.

While you’re using the bathroom

You may laugh at this one, but it’s a great way to get your bible study time in. You can spend time with God, all while multitasking. You probably look at your phone, while using the bathroom, so why not look at your bible? You could also listen to an audio version of your favorite chapter, as you take a shower.

Read before you get out of bed

There is no shame in picking up your bible first thing, even before you hop out of bed. Reading your bible for 5-10 minutes is a great way to spend time with God before everything else takes over your day. In fact, giving God those first minutes of your attention could really direct where your day goes from here.

Make it a habit

It’s easy to forget to spend time with God before the kids wake up because it’s the last thing on your mind. You may have good intentions, but you may really need to make an effort to spend time with God and make a habit out of it. Set reminders on your phone or write yourself reminders on sticky notes. There is no shame in reminding yourself, until it becomes a habit.

Wake up earlier than usual

Trust me, this may take some getting used to but it’ll all be worth it in the end. Waking up earlier than usual can help you get your bible study time in. It will take a few days, until you’re used to waking up early. Getting in your Jesus time before the kids wake up can be very rewarding. Sometimes it’s hard to concentrate, whenever you want to focus on praying and listening to what God has to say. Keep this tip in mind as you try to get bible study in before the kids wake up.

Get an accountability partner

Just like anything else in life, things can be easier whenever we have someone pushing us along. This is where an accountability partner comes in. You hold each other accountable in getting your bible study in before the kids wake up!
