We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

If you have kids, you know the craziness of Christmas morning. I’m sure it was the same way for my parents when I was their age, but you don’t fully “get it” until you have kids of your own.
Christmas morning in our house now looks something like this: wake-up, open stockings, attempt to eat breakfast, tear into presents as fast as possible, demand new presents be opened and ready to play with immediately!
Does that sound about right? I know that each year is only going to get a bit crazier (until they’re teenagers and don’t want to get up, right?)!
I know we end up spending the morning running around the house grabbing this, that, and the other. It seems we always forget something that we need on-hand Christmas morning.
To help save some of our sanity this year, I’ve put together a Christmas Morning Prep Basket. I didn’t go buy a basket or anything, but you can if you don’t have something around the house already. I’m sure you can find something and re-purpose it that will work though!
In our Christmas Morning Prep Basket, we’re including scissors, a screwdriver, Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ Batteries, a camera, an extra SD card, a trash bag for trash, and a bag for recycling. These may seem like no-brainer items to have for Christmas morning, but once those kids get going, you forget everything. And if your kids are anything like mine, by the time you run to the kitchen to grab scissors or a trash bag, they’ve already opened three more presents and you’ve missed it.
Not this year!
And, to help you keep track of what all you really need in your basket, I’m including a free Christmas Morning Battery Prep printable list! All you need to do is print write down the gift and what type of batteries and how many it needs. Before Christmas, just make sure you have all of the batteries that you need (and maybe some extras to really stock-up)!

We chose Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ to fill our basket with because they’re Energizer’s longest-lasting battery! I need those toys and other tech gifts to keep going! I don’t want any bummed out gift recipients on Christmas! Not only will they keep the power on, but I can feel good about it! Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries are the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries, meaning I can have a little less impact on the world and waste less.
So, while you’re out Christmas shopping this year, make sure you make a list of which batteries you need and how many, then stock-up on your Energizer® EcoAdvanced™ batteries!
I like to write out my lists as soon as I buy them, but you can write out your battery list while shopping, wrapping or whenever you remember!
What else would you put in your basket for Christmas morning?

This is an EXCELLENT idea! I’ve missed so many Christmas morning photo opps because I wasn’t prepared and hadn’t had my coffee yet. This way, it’s all in one place and ready to go. Love it!
