If you think s’mores are just a summer thing, you are highly mistaken. Bonfires are made for fall and s’mores are made for bonfires.
Since the kids have gone back to school, things have gotten a little hectic around here and we’re still trying to get into a routine that works for everyone. Between school, soccer, preschool runs, my own college classes, the blog, and just life in general, there always seems to be something to do. This weekend, we took a break and just relaxed. Honestly, we don’t do this enough. In the rush of doing all the fun stuff, we rarely sit down and enjoy it.
Saturday night, we ordered pizza (and salad for Mommy). It was oddly warm for September, so we ate outside at the picnic table while the fire was building in the fire pit.
The boys always get excited about s’mores! And really, what’s not to love?
For our kid-friendly s’mores bar, I put out the classics: chocolate bars, marshmallows, and graham crackers. I also put out some other fun s’mores supplies: peanut butter, strawberry preserves, peanut butter cups, and chocolate chip cookies.
