This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS. All opinions are 100% mine.

The holiday season is definitely one of my favorite times of the year. I love all the food, fun, and especially all the extra family time. For us, since the boys are still so young, it’s pretty easy to grant their wishes and make sure there is plenty under the tree for them. I know as they get older this isn’t going to be as easy. For many families though, the holidays bring stress and sadness as they aren’t able to fulfill their family’s wishes and celebrate with all the goodies that we do. This year, UPS has an awesome program that is making it super easy to help out someone in need.

 Ups_2color_shield

UPS is encouraging everyone to spread holiday cheer by sharing your holiday wishes and stories on Twitter and Instagram. For every wish and story submitted, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club or Toys for Tots) up to a total donation of $100,000! How great is that?!? This is such an easy and fun way for everyone to help out this holiday! Take a look at the video below:

You can submit your wish until December 31, 2014 by posting your wish to Twitter or Instagram with the campaign hashtag #WishesDelivered and it will automatically be submitted. You can also go to the #WishesDelivered site and manually submit there.

My holiday wish is that my grandparents could spend the holiday here with us in Maryland. Since they moved to Kentucky ten years ago, they’ve spent the majority of holidays there. That would be fine except for the fact that they’re usually alone there.

With My Grandparents at Christmas

I believe this is the last time they were here for the actual holiday. This was in 2009. Although I would love them to be here, this is still a wish for them more than me. I hate that they spend the holiday season alone and away from the family. I know they would love watching my boys open presents on the day of instead of seeing pictures on Facebook later.

Keep in mind that these wishes should be about helping others. Your wish could be something on the global scale like world peace or ending hunger. Or think about your local things too: a homeless shelter, a school, or your neighborhood organization. No matter what your wish is, you can easily give this holiday season! Just use #WishesDelivered and you’ll be helping a charity to receive donations that can grant those wishes!
