We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

We’re just starting to give Owen some water in a sippy cup and occasionally some milk (mommy or other) if I’m not around and he needs nursed. This past week Tom pulled out our mountains of sippy cups from Charlie. We have a ton of them that we saved, but in all honesty- we should have tossed half of them after the first use. If you have already been through the sippy cup stage, you know how spill proof most of those “spill proof” cups are!
When we were offered to review the Tommee Tippee sippy cups, I jumped at the chance!
The secret is out! This is one of the few sippy cups that actually does not LEAK!
One of the biggest problems with sippy cups is that they can be expensive. I know I hate to spend $5 on a cup just to have it leak all over the first time the kid gets ahold of it. With Charlie, I “splurged” and took my chance on a Tommee Tippee set of Drinking Cups. I was so glad I did!
The cups we received to review with Owen are Tommee Tippee Truly Spill Proof Straw Cups. I was a little leery about the straw cups, just because straw cups always seemed to have a higher chance of leaking in our past experiences. Again, I was wrong.
After testing out the Tommee Tippee Straw Cup, I’ve decided we’re going to streamline things this time around. The Tommee Tippee parts are interchangeable and we can use the cups/lids that we used with Charlie with this new straw set we got for Owen.
I love that this cup is truly spill proof! Owen can drop it, shake it, tip it upside down, and it still doesn’t leak!
When we’re done with it, I can take it apart, pop it in the dishwasher, and it’s pretty easy to put back together too.
Oh, did I mention how quick Owen picked up on drinking from the straw?
This will make a great gift for baby’s birthday, but we always toss things like this in their stockings too!

Is the plastic Sturdy that they bite? I was really disappointed that Gracie quickly destroyed the plastic on the mouth of an expensive sippy of another brand. Can’t believe they’d put cheap plastic/rubber on something a baby can chew through.

This is a straw cup, so his mouth isn’t really on the cup. The straw is holding up sturdy though. The drinking cups that we had for Charlie though (also Tommee Tippee) held up great and we’re using them again.
