As you all know by now, Charlie loves all things artsy. There are a few things that we can pull out that will actually entertain him for an extended period of time. We’re always on the lookout for more of these types of activities.

Sticky Mosaics from Orb Factory have proved to be one of these activities that can truly entertain him for hours. Charlie will sit down at the table and really focus on what he is doing. We love projects like this that calm him down and focus.

We received some of the Preschool Fun projects and I thought they’d be a hit with Charlie. It’s sometimes hard to find arts and crafts that aren’t girly. I’m not into gender defining, but a pink ballerina is really pushing it for Charlie. I was excited to find that Sticky Mosaics had a great selection of gender neutral options.

The first one Charlie did was the Vehicles. These are really awesome! Charlie loves picking out the stickers that go with his project and matching the sticker to the board. The stickers are foam or some kits have jewel pieces. They easily peel off the backing and stick onto the board. We’ve also learned that they peel off okay too if you need to adjust. You just need to do it shortly after being placed on. My only complaint is that I wish they were already divided up by project. We’ve done similar projects like these and each board had it’s own sticker set with it. This made it great to just pull one out and put the rest away.

Sometimes Charlie likes to really take his time and make sure everything is perfect and sometimes he likes to have a little creative freedom and put the stickers wherever he wants. He still puts them on the spots, just not the correct colors.

We took these to a friends and they were enjoyed there as well. They didn’t hold the attention of their soon to be 3 year old quite as well, but Charlie at 3.5 is loving them. They are aimed at ages 3+, but all kids are different. I think you know your kids and how long they’ll sit still. Charlie doesn’t sit still much, but these are something we can give him and he’ll sit and focus for quite some time.

Sticky Mosaics also has My First Creative Collage. I took everything out and checked it out, but Charlie hasn’t seen it yet. This is also aged 3+, but this will not be as neat and clean as the My First Sticky Mosaics were.
