very walking dead valentines

My heart is exploding with pure glee as Valentine’s Day falls on mid season start of The Walking Dead Season 6! We are huge fans of The Walking Dead in my house, and I couldn’t think of better way to celebrate it than with my husband at hand while staring at those pesky Walkers on the screen. In case you forgot, here’s where we were left hanging last year: the old church finally gave way and fell, and smashed down one of the side walls of Alexandria. The town was filled with Walkers, and Rick and his crew were devising a plan to escape. Taking a note from a past season, they covered their clothes with Walker blood and parts to hide their fleshy scents. In the middle of them holding hands and walking through a field of walkers, Sam (the young boy) starts to repeatedly call for his mom. Eeek!

With all of the action set to take place this coming Valentine’s Day, I decided to get romantically creative and a make it a true Walking Dead Valentine’s! I found some super fun & delicious recipes, crafts, and must have gifts. However, before I get started with these amazing goodies, you need to know the basics!

How To Survive A Zombie Apocalypse

How-to-survive-a-zombie-apocalypse

Yes, you need to learn how to survive when the end of the world is nigh and filled with Walkers. My friend over at The Joys of Boys has some super amazing tips! She has everything from how to ward off zombies, zombie weaknesses, the best place to hide, and so much more! I would also like to recommend you have the following supplies to help you along the way: A hydration backpack to carry water while scouting for supplies, a compact First Aid Kit, a lightweight camping axe to help defend yourself against zombies, and an Emergency Mylar thermal tent in case you get stuck in the rain and need some shelter. My friend over at Comic Con Family created a super fun Zombie Apocalypse printable for you to download!

Bloody Cinnamon Mummy Crepes

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I couldn’t agree more! Especially with these Bloody Cinnamon Mummy Crepes Recipe that I found over at Ashlee Marie’s Blog. These are just simply diving, and easy to make. Yes, she uses a mummy cookie cutter for the mold, but you can use these Zombie Cookie Cutters instead! What a romantic way to get this special day started!
