Let’s be honest. Those moms with the fancy houses where everything is elaborate and beautifully decorated for Christmas is just not realistic for most of us.
Not everything has to be fancy.
I have a ton of Christmas decorations (most of which don’t even make it out of the attic these days), but some of our favorite decorations are actually kid toys.
We have several playsets that include Santa, Mrs. Claus, reindeer, elves, village houses, and so much more.
The kids love to play with these under the tree.
We also have a fun nativity set that the kids can touch and play with. When I was little, the nativity set my mom had (and still has actually) was beautiful and absolutely breakable. No way were we touching that!
Of course, in our house – Santa and the three wise men hang out and ride around in a Christmas train. And Santa’s village is right next door.
I love that our kids can play with decorations at our house. There’s just something sweet about watching them play around the Christmas tree.
To me, that’s what Christmas is all about – spending time with those you love and enjoying the season.
Speaking of keeping things a little simpler.
While I love baking yummy treats with my kids, especially all those sugar cookies around the holiday season, it doesn’t always have to be that huge deal.
With some help from Entenmann’s® Little Bites® Sugar Cookie Muffins, we’re all enjoying the classic taste of a holiday sugar cookie in a new mini muffin form! They’re perfect for packing in lunches, sending in for a class party, or just enjoying an afternoon snack.
The kids can grab a bag to snack on while playing and keep it moving. No fuss, all fun!
This delicious seasonal variety (which never contain high fructose corn syrup or trans-fat) is hitting shelves for the first time this holiday season!
Check out this fun Cocoa Cups idea that would be perfect for a special treat!
