We’ve been a Citrus Lane subscriber for awhile. For $29/month, you will receive 4-5 full-size products that are specifically geared towards your child’s age and gender. Some subscription boxes you get a bunch of samples, but not Citrus Lane. We’ve received some really awesome things in boxes: A skip-hop lunch bag, green toys, and Barefoot Books. There’s months that have awesome boxes and months that are not so awesome.

Our January Box came today- a little later than normal because of the crazy winter weather everyone’s been having.

In this month’s box:

Fruit Set from Plan Toys

This set was made exclusively for Citrus Lane. The set is 3 different fruits with a knife to “chop” the fruit in half. The pieces are made from recycled rubberwood. When finished preparing the food, the fruit sticks right back together with velcro. We have another set of these, but veggies, that we got from a previous Citrus Lane box. We do like them, but they’re aged 18months+. Charlie will be 3 in April and he’s not overly impressed with these for very long.

A slightly larger set is on Amazon for $19.99

Zig Zag Zebra Coloring Book from Barefoot Books
http://store.barefootbooks.com/zig-zag-zebra.html/?bf_affiliate_code=000-112g

This activity book is beautiful. Too nice actually for me to want to let Charlie color in it. There’s activities in here to help drawing skills, shape recognition, color combining, and reading.
Use code CITRUSFUN for 15% off (expires 2/10/14)

It is $6.99 @ Barefoot Books

Duo Tip Washable Markers from Faber-Castell

These double-sided markers are made from food-grade vegetable dyes, so they’re easily washable. To rehydrate them, you can place the tip in water. The recommended age is 4+, but Charlie loves all things crafty, so they’ll be a good fit. And with as messy as Charlie is, washable is a big plus!

These are $4.99 on their website

Upset Tummy & Nausea Relief from Mommy’s Bliss

There are 10 single-dose packets. Mommy’s Bliss is all-natural and free from gluten, dairy, soy and sugar. We’ve used their Gripe Water before and were pleased. I didn’t realize they made other products.

This is $9.99 on Amazon

I’m not overly impressed with this month’s box, but some people will be. The value of this box is definitely over the $29 that you pay for the box.

Citrus lane boxes look like fun. I’ve never had the pleasure to order one, but with those food toys, I might have to. I like the double sidebar you have going. Now all you have to do is center your header!

We’ve tried other box services and yes, they were just small samples. I was so disappointed. This looks like something my 4 year old could really enjoy. A great way to mix a ‘toy treat’ with learning items and household items. Sounds like a win-win.

exactly! The boxes did only go to age 3, but last year they expanded them up to age 5!

Awww…I love stuff/toys/products like these. This looks like something I may check out. What age does it go up to? My kids are 2 and 5.

What a fun box to get in the mail! I used to use Faber Castell art supplies when I was into Art when I was younger.

This is such a great subscription. I’ve been thinking about getting one for my niece and nephew. Still on the fence because they’re both picky about what they play with.

This is such a fun subscription box. I tend to go for the ones where I can actually select my products so I’m not disappointed.
