Easter Weekend

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend with their families. I know we did!

Friday we had an Easter party with the MOMS club. Charlie had a great time eating, running around being a crazy boy, and hunting eggs. Owen enjoyed watching the craziness. I don’t think I took any pictures there, but here’s a couple from our egg hunt and hayride on Monday with the MOMS club.

Friday night we dyed eggs.

Saturday we spent pretty much the whole day shopping. I was able to actually shop for myself a little (for a nice change). I finally got the boys some cute matching spring outfits! Pictures coming soon.

And today, Sunday started off bright and early with Sunrise service at 6am. Charlie wakes up several times a week long before the sun is up. This morning, of course, he threw a giant fit because he was up and it wasn’t morning time, the “sun not up”. Well, we made it though (and only about 5 min late).

I think the boys enjoyed their Easter baskets.

We went to my in-laws for dinner and an egg hunt. Right now, Charlie’s the youngest egg hunter, so he gets to go first. We told him that next year, he’ll be 2nd. Owen will get to go first. This year, Owen just watched and he looks like he was less than thrilled about watching.

Daddy lifted Charlie up to help him get a few from a tree.

After the egg hunt, Charlie (and Owen) inspected what he found in his eggs. Both boys crashed hard about 3 minutes into the car ride home. I’m thinking they’ll sleep like angels tonight!

That is one angry-looking Easter bunny! I think he would scare me into giving up my eggs!

hahaha! He was so scared of him for the first hour or so we were there! All the other kids were hugging him. Right before we left I asked if he could high-five the Easter bunny, he agreed, and thought that was pretty cool.

I love their personalized baskets, so cute! Also, is that marshmallows from their eggs? That’s actually a great idea!

I love dying the Easter Eggs with the kids. This year we didn’t do the basket thing. Instead I gave the kids each a new pack of crayons and a new color book. Looks like you all had a great time.

I used to buy matching outfits for my boys until they outgrew it. They’re both men now, and every year for Christmas I make sure they have something identical to wear (a hoodie, jacket, shirt, what have you). It’s turned into a fun tradition, and even though we’re all in separate states, that’s the one time of year we make sure to get together (all of us) in the same place.

A local lady does them. I got Charlie’s last year and hoped she’d be doing them again this year. She did, so I inverted the colors and got one for Owen.

He was actually very scared of him until right before the end (about 1 or so after we got there) and I had him give him a high-five. It just happened to turn out super cute.
