We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

It’s been a few weeks since I did our Friday Favorites, but we’re back this week!
More Snow
We woke up to snow this morning and it’s probably our last of the year. I’m sure it will be gone by dinner time, but the boys had fun in it this morning.
They were only out about ten minutes before breakfast, so we didn’t do gloves and snow bibs. It wasn’t too cold for just a few minutes.
Game Time
Long before we were married, Tom and I would sit up until the wee hours of the night playing video games. Now that we’re parents, that doesn’t happen anymore.
For Christmas this year, I got Tom a new Xbox One. He’s been playing Fallout 4 just about every night after the kids go to bed and I’m doing blog stuff. My friends at Ubisoft sent us Hasbro Family Fun Pack for our new system!
This game is actually four games in one! I had never played Risk before, but it was the first one we played. I lost horribly the first time, but the next I controlled half the world (that quickly flipped around and I lost, but hey!).
Trivial Pursuit on the other hand? I kick butt at that! There are different style rounds, so it’s not just an answer the question type of thing.
Tom really liked Monopoly. It’s pretty cool watching the pieces come to life to move around the board. Oh, and when you roll the dice, you’ll knock things down, just like in real life.
I think I forgot how much fun it is to sit down and play video games with my husband. Oh, and our idea of staying up late to do so now is about 9:30 PM.
Choco Treasure
I’ve shared before about how much the boys love those crazy videos on youtube with the surprise eggs. Personally, I don’t get it at all, but kids love it!
Choco Treasure sent us some treasure eggs. We were sent Minions ones, but they also have Kung Fu Panda 3, Cute Baby Animals, or Hello Kitty! How fun is that?!? Minions are a favorite around here, so that worked out perfectly.
While these are fun any time of year, they’re especially perfect for Easter! They’re egg shaped, chocolate, and a toy inside!
Parents too love the sweet treat’s affordable price ($1 – $1.99), creamy milk chocolate, and 60 calorie serving size (the kids don’t need to know about that). Choco Treasure is a great way to give kids a small treat for now, and a fun toy – for now and later! In fact, many of the same types of toys (slap bracelets, figurines, etc.) found inside Choco Treasure are actually for sale separately in stores for more than the cost of Choco Treasure.
You can find them at stores nationwide including Walmart, Target, 5 Below and CostPlus World Market.
Finding Dory
I was so excited when I was emailed the new trailer for Finding Dory!
Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” reunites everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory, with her friends Nemo and Marlin on a search for answers about her past. What can she remember? Who are her parents? And where did she learn to speak Whale?
Finding Dory is scheduled for release June 17, 2016.
Have a great weekend!
