We love playing games. We used to have a weekly game night with a friend, but that hasn’t panned out lately. I really hope we can get this going again because it was a much needed break from the reality of life and some extra socialization for the grown-ups!
Winning Moves sent us a box of great games to restock our game closet!
When I first heard about Splash Cards, I was really impressed! I immediately thought of bath time fun for the kids, but they will be perfect for the summer parties! And I don’t just mean the pool! When you’re sitting around playing cards, how often are there drinks or food on the table? How often do those drinks or food wind up on our games? With Splash Cards, this is not a problem at all! So, there are Splash Cards for kids and then there is a regular deck of cards for adults (or kids) to play all your normal card games, but with the peace of mind that they’ll survive the day.
There are four great varieties of Splash Cards:
- Splash Jack Royal – This is a deck of 54 waterproof playing cards. You can play anything you would use a deck of cards for!
- Splash Jack – These are your normal playing cards, but with fun water animals on them: making them perfect for the kids to play with in the pool, tub, or anywhere really.
- Splash Pals – Including 36 waterproof cards, kids can have fun making different people and animals! They can make an astronaut-wrestler with ballerina legs, or a caveman-mermaid with the brain of a robot. We love games that let the imagination go crazy!
- Splashimals – This fun matching games includes 30 waterproof cards (15 animals total). I love that the kids can mix and match animals to find the correct pieces. How about a tur – key (turtle & monkey)?
We also received Touring, the original auto race game! The goal of the game is to be the first to finish the tour! But look out, your opponents are ready to wreck your journey with penalty cards, like flat tire and more!
Touring is aimed at ages 7+ and can be played by 2, 3, 4 or 6 people. While I originally thought we’d gift this game, I think it might stay in our stash! This game is like so many other strategy card games that we play and I really like that it’s one Charlie will eventually be able to play with us and love!
Charlie is going to love playing dentist with Crocodile Dentist! This game is geared at children ages 4+ and can be played with 1-4 players.
Poor old croc has a tooth that's bothering him; pretend to be a Dentist to help him out. Press the wrong tooth and he'll surprise you. This game has no loose parts, so it’s perfect for us!
From the games that we received, I’m probably most excited about Deluxe Pit! Although this game has been around for over 100 years, I’ve never played it.
Shout your deal and trade your cards to ”corner” the market. Be the first to get all the cards of one commodity, ding the bell and you'll win the hand.
This game is aimed at ages 7+ and can be played with 3-8 players.
