We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

I think Baby’s 1st Christmas is a big deal! We had this talk last year with a couple of friends that had babies born around the same time as Owen. Last year, Owen was less than 2 month old at Christmas, but it was still his 1st Christmas. I saw some friends saying they weren’t really getting anything for the baby because they wouldn’t remember it and they’re too little to play with anything. I don’t care how old you are, a 1st Christmas is a 1st Christmas. You don’t get that year back.
I was sent some awesome items from Kids Preferred that would be perfect for Baby’s 1st Christmas!
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the ever-popular television holiday hit, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Kids Preferred brings the lovable characters to life to honor this milestone. These Rudolph toys and keepsakes are ready to spread the joy this holiday season, as the animation has been doing for half a century. How cute are these rattles that are perfect for baby? They are available in Clarice or Rudolph and both say Baby’s 1st Christmas. The rattles are a super soft plush with embroidered eyes (making them safe for baby). This is Owen’s 2nd Christmas and he’s a bit big for them this year, but we’ll be passing them on to a cutie of a baby that will appreciate them.
We had full intentions of giving said baby the Rudolph Experimental Activity Toy also, but Owen took to it immediately. At 13 months, he hasn’t played with teething toys too much lately, but he adores this Rudolph! When you squeeze the belly, Rudolph plays his infamous song and his nose lights up! There is no way we could part with this now.
Rudolph can attach to a stroller or carrier, which always makes it nice to entertain baby on the go. I do wish it played the whole song, but Owen doesn’t know any better and obviously doesn’t mind.
Owen loves to read (just like Mommy and Charlie), but paper books and Owen aren’t quite a match yet. The Rudolph Soft Book is perfect for him to have and “read” without destroying. This awesome little Christmas book has an attached teether, a clip to take it with you and multiple textures throughout the book. Did I mention it’s a crinkle book? What baby doesn’t like all those crinkly sounds?
And Mickey! Kids Preferred has made some adorable Mickey and Minnie plushes that are ready for the holiday! Disney’s classic characters that every child knows and loves are all geared up and ready for the holiday hoopla. Owen loves Mickey and I’m excited to add these to our holiday decorations. In our house, decorations need to be unbreakable, so most of ours are toys! Mickey’s ears crinkle for that added fun!
