The Shirley Journey

Finding Joy in the Journey

Two Weeks in Ireland with Kids

We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

If you haven’t noticed, Minions are pretty popular and have been for awhile. I don’t think they’re going anywhere either. We love the Despicable Me movies in our house and know that we’ll love Minions, too! What a better way to welcome the Minions to summer than a frozen treat?

Minions Frozen Fruit Pops are made with Mott's apple juice, grape juice, applesauce, and frozen blueberries! Minion, Mom, and Kid-Approved!

While walking around Food Lion this week, we found some Mott’s items that had our favorite Minions all over them! I grabbed some of the necessities in our house like applesauce, juice, and juice boxes, all of which were sporting a new Minions design.

These are so much fun and the kids love them! I really feel good about giving the boys these frozen fruit pops because they’re full of fruit and the Mott’s items are an excellent source of Vitamin C.

Another great thing about our Minion Frozen Fruit Pops is that they use the same container that the apple sauce is packaged in!

Mott's Apple Mixture

After putting the mini marshmallows in, I used a toothpick to poke them down a little so they wind up in the yellow section instead of the dark bottom.

Mott's Marshmallows in Apple

One thing I didn’t know, but experimented with was that the marshmallows didn’t freeze. They’re still ooey gooey marshmallows, which is a great little surprise in a frozen treat!

Mott's Aluminum Slits

If you just stab the popsicle stick in the foil, your hole will be too big and the stick will move around instead of staying in the middle.

Mott's Sticks in Foil

Since the blueberries were frozen, they freeze up quicker than the applesauce mixture! I left it a little chunky because I love the blueberry bites!

Mott's Blueberries on top
