What is your go-to breakfast? I have to admit I don’t always eat breakfast because I just don’t get around to it. The boys eat french toast sticks often because they’re quick and easy. Today I’m sharing a super quick breakfast that everyone will love!
We tried out the NEW Quaker® Real Medleys® Yogurt Cups. They’re a delicious blend of yogurt and multigrain granola with real fruit and crunchy nuts. All you have to do is add cold milk to the cup, stir and you’ll have “Crunchy. Cool. Yum.”
To me, this would be a great breakfast by itself. It’s the first shelf-stable convergence of granola, fruit and yogurt – all in a single serve cup! Not only is it delicious, but satisfying. The single serve cup contains 25 grams of whole grains and 10 grams of protein with 1/2 cup of cold Skim Milk.
To my husband and most men (stereotyping I’m sure), they’ll appreciate a little bit of savory with their sweet. I made up some sausage puffs that take a little time the first time, but then you can freeze them!
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 2 cups shredded cheese (I use cheddar, but you could use others)
- ½ cup water
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
- Add in butter and mix with hands until mixture is crumbly.
- Cook and crumble ground sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain.
- Add sausage and cheese in the large bowl with flour mixture.
- Add water slowly and mix (hands work best) until moistened.
- Roll and shape mixture into small balls (about 1½ - 2 inches).
- Place balls on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
If you’re using frozen sausage puffs, you’ll only need about 3 minutes to a perfect breakfast! Just pop your puffs in the microwave for about 30 seconds, add cold milk to your yogurt cup, stir and allow to sit for about 2 minutes! It doesn’t get much easier than that!
The Quaker Real Medleys Yogurt Cups are currently available in three flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Raspberry Pecan, and Strawberry Almond. We found two flavors in our cold cereal aisle at Walmart, but found all three on a display right at checkout!
I can’t get over how convenient the Yogurt Cups are for breakfast or an afternoon treat. I’m able to send the hubby off to work with a breakfast he can enjoy when he gets settled in for the day. And he can keep a few sausage puffs in the little freezer at work to pop in the mircowave.
The boys also loved the yogurt cups! Yummy! Fruit, granola and yogurt all in one!

I like that they are shelf stable and don’t have to be refrigerated. The sausage puffs would be great to have.

The perfect breakfast. I need to something like this for my kids when they go back to school because they never have time to eat. They can just pop some puffs and grab a yogurt. Love it. #client
