We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

Most people follow a sport in one form or another. In our house, we’re football people. And I mean, WE. I know some wives pretend to follow football and “cheer” for their husband’s team, but have no real idea what is going on. This is not the case in our house. I was a Ravens fan long before my husband and I started dating. He’s just lucky he is too.
Charlie loves to watch football with Mommy and Daddy now. He says “Go Ravens”! And he can echo us in the same exact tone when we say “Come on….” (be that a good thing or not).
When we’re watching football we sometimes forget to eat real meals, so our snacking has to be heavy! And what’s better for a football snack than some warm cheesy meaty dip?
At Save-A-Lot, we can pick up all of our supplies for some football snacking (and our other groceries) without hurting your wallet too much!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz package of bacon
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (14 ounces) pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
- Brown hamburger and drain.
- Bake bacon and crumble.
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW 2-3 hours.
We served with pizza dough that I rolled into sticks and baked. It was perfect! This would also be awesome with tortilla chips or sliced French bread.
This makes a lot of food and will be sure to feed your whole cheering section!
Don’t forget to head to Save-A-Lot for tailgate favorites that won’t break your budget.

I love Sav a Lot. I am thankful I have one that is not too far away. It is a lot closer than Aldi or any other discount store.
