As a member of the Netflix Stream Team, I receive a Netflix subscription and a streaming device. All opinions are my own.

Charlie has been all about anything related to spies and secret agents lately. Thanks to Netflix, we discovered Spy Kids and some other great finds that I'll share later.

With all the snow, ice and ridiculously cold weather we've had lately, we're stuck inside quite a bit. I decided to make Charlie a little spy kit. What kid wouldn't like that?

DIY Spy Kit for Kids - simple and easy with things already around the house!

The awesome part about this? You probably have most of it already around the house somewhere!

For Your Spy Kit:

  • a roll of clear tape
  • a big powder makeup brush
  • baby powder
  • a small container with lid (old empty spice bottle will work great)
  • 2 empty toilet paper rolls (or 1 paper towel roll cut in half)
  • black paint
  • masking tape
  • a small notepad
  • crayon/marker/pen depending on the age
  • sunglasses
  • ink pad (if you have one or check dollar store)

To make your fingerprint kit, you'll need the baby powder, small container with lid, clear tape and your makeup brush. Put a little baby powder in the container. Spread some powder with the brush, then use the tape to “lift” any fingerprints that were left behind.

To make spy binoculars, tape your toilet paper rolls with masking tape around the middle. Paint black and allow to dry. Super easy, but it lets the kids get the paint out!

Netflix Spy Movies

For your spy inspiration, check out the spy movies and shows on Netflix:

Spy Kids 2

Spy Kids 3

Spy Kids 4D

Spy School

Agent Cody Banks 2

Harriet the Spy

Spymate

Phineas and Ferb the Movie

I've started a board on Pinterest of some great spy activities for kids. These would be so much fun for a birthday party or just because.
