We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

If you’re not living in a cave (which I’m sure you’re not because you’re reading this online), you know there is a new Star Wars™ movie coming out next month!
Now that Star Wars™ is part of the Disney family, little ones have really been exposed to it even more than before. What I really love is how Star Wars™ is truly a multi-generational experience now. For the first time, some families have four generations of Star Wars™ fans and that’s pretty awesome in my eyes.
You know we love doing themed food, so of course I have to put a few things together for Star Wars™! Today I’m going to share an easy Star Wars™ parfait. When the hardest part of a recipe is cutting up fruit, that’s a winner!
While we were in the cereal aisle at Walmart the other day, Charlie pointed out a few boxes of Star Wars™ cereals. I only grabbed the Star Wars™ Honey Nut Cheerios that day, but I’m sure all of them will find their way into the house before it’s all said and done. I mean, we have to collect all of the toys, right?!?
I remember digging through our cereal when my sister and I were little trying to find the toy inside the box. Not too many boxes have toys in them these days, so this was an awesome surprise for Charlie!
In the dairy section, we found Star Wars™ Go-Gurts! Cool, right? But what I didn’t tell you yet is that the image on the side of the Go-Gurt packaging is able to glow in the dark! Now that my friends, that’s cool! Now we have Star Wars™ on everything it seems!
About those easy Star Wars parfaits…
The first main colors in Star Wars are red, blue, and green. Because of that, I grabbed some blueberries, raspberries, and kiwi.
You know we like to keep things simple around here and this parfait is not any different.
The first thing you’re going to do is pour half of your Go-Gurt into a small cup.
On top of the yogurt, put a handful of fruit. This is your chance to choose your side: Are you a fan of the good guys or evil?
Use the rest of your Go-Gurt to top the fruit!
While I’m always happy with a cup of fruit and yogurt, it needs that crunch to really make it awesome! Remember those Star Wars™ Honey Nut Cheerios? Grab a handful and toss them on top!
Seriously guys, I said it was easy! The kids could actually make these themselves if you set everything up!
I’m thinking we need to sit down and have a viewing party before December. If you’re not a football fan, Thanksgiving would be a great time to sit down with the family and enjoy all of the movies together. For those wondering, the proper way to watch the entire series is the way they were released: 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3. Charlie is still a little young to sit and watch the whole series, but he will certainly enjoy popping in and out while playing. Then again, he may surprise me and sit through it all.
Our easy Star Wars™ parfaits will be perfect to enjoy, no matter what time of day! They’ll be a hit for breakfast, an after school snack, or even dessert!
Have you made any fun Star Wars™ food?
