I remember making Peanut Butter Cookies in my middle school Home Economics class. I don’t even think that’s a thing anymore, but that’s a whole other story. It’s the simplest recipe and one that you’ll always remember, but that’s what makes it so great!
As you know, Charlie loves helping Mommy in the kitchen. When I spotted the Skippy Salted Caramel Peanut Butter in our Hormel box this month, I knew I had the perfect recipe for Charlie. They’re quick and easy!
- 1 cup Skippy Salted Caramel Peanut Butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Combine sugar, egg, and peanut butter in mixing bowl until smooth.
- Make balls of about ½" by hand and place on tray.
- Use a fork to press down slightly on the cookies.
- Bake for 6 to 8 minutes.
Who doesn’t love a peanut butter cookie? This Skippy Salted Caramel Peanut Butter smells delicious as soon as you remove the seal! If you’re not the type to eat peanut butter with a spoon straight from the jar, this may convert you!
I think it’s so important to take the time to have your kids in the kitchen with you. Yes, it can sometimes be a pain. I’ll be the first to admit that Charlie sometimes drives me completely batty with his urge to help me at all times. But, I do want my boys to be functional in the kitchen and able to make themselves (and their future family) food.
If you look at our cookie tray, you can see that not all of the cookies are the same. We had some SNICKERS® Bites that we put on top of a few and we even snuck a few in the middle. If you have some, it’s a great addition. If not, they’re absolutely perfect without!
