I feel like I keep saying this (maybe I’m trying to remind Mother Nature), but Spring is just around the corner! Easter is next weekend, which feels really early this year, but it is!
Friday we had our MOMS Club Easter Party! We haven’t done too much with MOMS Club lately because it’s just been so cold and yuck out. I’m so ready for warmer weather and all of the outside playdates! I was not very good at getting pictures, but everyone had fun!
Tom’s birthday was also Friday, so Nanny kept the boys and we went to the movies for the first time in over a year! We ate dinner out, saw Insurgent (it was great) and hit up Coldstone for dessert! It was about 11PM when we made it back home. That’s late for us old folks!
Saturday our first egg hunt was cancelled due to snow. Yes, more snow. People seem to be surprised by it, but here in Maryland, snow in late March is not really out of the ordinary.
Our egg hunt at church was still on for later Saturday though! They hid (set out) 4,000 eggs for the kids to find and they were all done in less than 15 minutes! We came back inside and got some pictures with the Easter Bunny (our Pastor). Charlie doesn’t do characters, but he wanted the treat that was being given out after you visited with the Easter Bunny.
First thing Sunday morning, Owen noticed we didn’t put the gate up and made a break for the stairs at full speed. He was in such a rush, he lost his footing and hit the bottom of the landing with his face. And… there was blood. This boy has had more mouth wounds than you can even imagine. And they bleed so much! Poor kid now has a fat lip (and a bruise on his cheek from another “I can do anything” incident today).
Don’t mind the snotty nose, it’s been running like crazy since Friday night.
