We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]
Weight Loss Update: 7 Months on Jenny Craig

Thanks to Jenny Craig for their continued partnership in my weight loss journey.
I’ve officially been on the Jenny Craig program for 7 months now. After 7 months, I’m down 40.2 lbs! I hit the halfway mark!
It’s not been easy and I struggle a lot with whether or not I can actually see any difference. The truth is, I have to go back and find pictures from before I started and put them side to side to really see the difference.
Here’s my comparison from a December picture to July’s picture.
I immediately notice the fact that I’m smiling while having my picture taken! Even after only hitting my halfway mark this month, I feel so much different physically. My energy level is up and my confidence is through the roof in comparison. I can only imagine (for now) how much that will change when I do hit my goal.
I don’t know that I have actually shared my starting weight, but I’ll put it out there. When I went for my first Jenny Craig appointment, I weighed in at 253.6 lbs. That’s a lot more than I ever thought I would reach. It was easy to let the weight creep up there and pretend it wasn’t a thing.
At my 7 month checkpoint, I weighed in at 213.4! That’s a number I have not seen on a scale in a long time and it’s still going down!
The Jenny Craig foods are keeping me full and enjoying new menu items as they come (stay tuned for more new menu items next month)!
Cinnamon Rolls // Chocolate Dream Shake // Carrots with Creamy Herb Dressing // Breakfast Scramble
With Jenny Craig, I’ve learned to eat 6 times a day and I find myself drinking more water and reaching for healthy snacks!
I slacked off on my workout routine this past month while getting back into our routine at home after being gone in Kentucky for so long, but I’m slowly getting back into my gym habit in the mornings.

You inspire me. I did Jenny Craig when I was in my 20’s, I loved it. Do they still have you start incorporating store bought food at the 1/2 way point. If so, can you write about that.
