Raising boys is hard, raising rowdy boys is harder. Sometimes you have nowhere else to look but up when it comes to raising those boys of yours. Check out these 10 scriptures for raising rowdy boys.

Raising boys is hard, raising rowdy boys is harder. Sometimes you have nowhere else to look but up when it comes to raising those boys of yours. Check out these 10 scriptures for raising rowdy boys.

#1. Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Raising rowdy boys is not easy, but it’s worth it! When you feel discouraged, know God walked before you!

#2. Proverbs 1:8-9 Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.

Getting your rowdy boys to listen isn’t always easy. Keep at it moms and dads.

#3. Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Bringing up your rowdy boys to know the Lord is one of the best things you can do for them. Really, the BEST thing!

#4. Matthew 6:34: So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Try to focus on the parenting you are doing with those rowdy boys today, not tomorrow.

#5. Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

How true is this? God doesn’t want us to be anxious about raising our rowdy sons.

#6. Proverbs 3:12: For the LORD reproves him whom he loves, As a father the son in whom he delights.

Isn’t it so awesome how much God loves his children and we can pass that love down onto our rowdy boys?

#7. Psalms 127:3: Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb a reward.

On those rough days, remember those rowdy boys are a reward from the Lord!

#8. Proverbs 22:6: Train up a child in the way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

This is one of my favorites! Raising those boys of yours isn’t easy, but it’s so worth it!

Finally, here are my last two favorite verses for raising rowdy boys!

#9. Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

#10. Ephesians 6: 1-4 Bring them up in the nurture of the Lord

I hope these scriptures help you with your rowdy boys and raising them in the Lord!

Those are great Scriptures to remember, thanks! I don’t have rowdy boys, but I do have 2 boys and a girl, and I think those Scriptures can apply to raising them also.

Yes! I have some rowdy boys myself and spending time with these Scriptures daily is the best thing I can do for them. Sometimes it feels like that only thing I can do in a given moment. I continue to strive daily to teach them according to the Word and to help them truly know the Lord in a deeply personal relationship.

As a mother of a very rowdy boy, now a man, this would have given me some comfort – had I only thought to look. Although a talk or few happened with our pastor!!

Thanks for sharing with us at Throwback Thursday! I peeked in earlier, but didn’t get a chance to comment before now! Have a great weekend!

    Mollie
