We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

Riding in the car isn’t always an easy task for kids. We live 5 minutes from Charlie’s preschool, but sometimes we get there early and we’ll just wait in the car at the church before getting out. I guess as it starts to warm up, that won’t be a problem, but as of now, it’s still too cold to just stand outside. That extra down time of waiting in the car can be hard on him.
We can give Owen snacks to keep him happy on those short trips, but Charlie’s not as easily distracted.
Family Christian sent us the Growing in Grace: Sing and Play Activity Kit.
This is perfect for Charlie! Inside you’ll find a music CD that everyone will love, an activity book, 4 crayon colors and 2 sticker sheets. And… the entire kit comes in a cute little case with a handle! We all know how independent and possessive kids of this age are. Charlie loves that he can carry the whole thing around and keep it all together in the car.
When Charlie’s in the car, we listen to “Charlie music” about 90 percent of the time. I love that he enjoys listening to music and attempts to sing along. What he doesn’t really understand yet is that he’s also learning some great Bible stories through these songs!
My favorite song on the CD is God Said It was Good. This song teaches our kids about how God created the World. On the CD, you’l also find songs like Wiggle and Hop and the Hokey Pokey. Kids of all ages (mom and dad included) will love these and enjoy bouncing around in the car, too!
Charlie’s favorite part of the activity kit is probably the stickers! He had a tough time deciding where he should put each person! Being a preschooler is hard!
Thanks to Family Christian, one Mom’s Messy Miracles reader will win a $10 certificate to purchase anything you’d like at Family Christian!
These would make a great gift for any preschooler or a great addition to your Easter basket!
Who would you give this activity kit to?

I’d give this to my daughter. Perfect for the car while we are headed for campsites this summer.
