We’d like to thank The Kraft Heinz Company for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all comments and opinions are my own.

Some would say that pizza alone is all you need for a meal. If you’re looking for side dishes for pizza night, we have three easy sides that are perfect!

Once upon a time…  a pizza would be enough for our little family. These days though, with two growing boys, one pizza is just not enough.

When we make pizza, we make a few easy side dishes that pair perfectly for pizza night. Finding pizza sides is not always easy. Pizza is a quick and easy dinner, so the sides need to be quick and easy too – nothing that takes too much effort. Ideally, sides for pizza night shouldn’t be too cheesy or bread-like since pizza usually covers that.

This week, we stocked up on groceries at Weis Markets. Our store in Havre de Grace, MD has an amazing selection of fresh produce, meats, and grocery items. We grabbed a couple of O, That’s Good! Pizzas to refill our frozen pizza stash.

O, That’s Good! Pizza has all the goodness of classic pizza, but part of the crust is made with cauliflower! Honestly, you can’t taste the difference at all! And I’m not just saying that – the kids gobbled it up none the wiser. We ate the O, That’s Good! Pepperoni Pizza this week, but already have the Cheese Pizza in the freezer ready for next week!

O, That’s Good! Pizza is the perfect weeknight dinner solution. But not just for pizza night! O, That’s Good! also has a variety of other frozen products.

There is an e-coupon available at Weis that makes the O, That’s Good! Pizza and Skillets $4.99 each. The offer runs through 3/18/20.

We always have a couple of pizzas in our freezer for a busy weeknight dinner. There is a frozen pizza on our menu at least once a week, usually on a night we’re rushing to karate or scouts. (You can find our weekly menu posted on our Facebook page each Sunday.)

Now – about those easy sides for pizza night!

Chopped Salad with Pasta

I love salad with pizza, but I’m also a big pasta person, sooo…. you can just add some cooked and cooled pasta into your salad. Remember we’re keeping these sides quick and easy! Grab a bag of salad mix from the store, some cheese (you can cut your own cubes from a block or toss in some shredded cheese), about 2 cups of cooked pasta, and your favorite dressing (about 3/4 cup).

Toss everything together in a bowl and you’re all set.

Fruit Skewers or Kabobs

I don’t know whether you call these skewers or kabobs, but they’re fruit on a stick. Food on a stick is always a good idea and it’s a perfect way to serve your fruit. Okay, so it takes a few minutes longer than just throwing your cut fruit into a bowl, but this is much more fun!

Honestly, you can cut the fruit (or buy it already cut from the store – no judgment here) and then have the kids skewer them while you’re doing something else and they’re impatiently waiting for the pizza to cook. This is a great way for littles to work on patterns too.

Green Bean Fries

We’ve had green bean fries out at restaurants a few times and I thought they’d make a great side for pizza. We use our air fryer several times a day, so we made these green bean fries in the air fryer.

I grabbed a bag of fresh green beans from Weis that were already washed and trimmed (because I’m looking for easy here).

Set up one bowl with two eggs, beaten. Set up another bowl with about 1 cup of panko bread crumbs (I use Italian seasoned because #yum).

Dip your green beans into the egg and then dredge them in the panko bread crumbs before adding to your air fryer.

Cook on 360 F for about 5-8 minutes. You’ll need to do a few loads, depending on your air fryer size, making sure to not overload your fryer.

Serve with some ranch for dipping!

Did you know March is National Frozen Food Month?

As a busy family, our freezer is always stocked!

Weis has partnered with Kraft Heinz to give you a chance to win some great prizes including $50 Weis gift cards and a grand prize of a freezer chest with a $125 Weis gift card! Who couldn’t use a gift card or a freezer?

This awesome sweepstakes runs through 3/18/2020.
