We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

We love sports. I grew up playing softball, volleyball, and a little basketball. Charlie has already played soccer and baseball. I love keeping the kids active and really letting them see they can do anything they want if they practice hard, try their best, and keep dreaming.
Our family was recently invited, along with some of my fellow Philly area blogger families, to attend a Phillies game and hear about how easy Comcast has made it for us to follow our favorite sporting events.

In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be tuning in to watch the opening ceremonies of the Summer Games in Rio. There’s just something magical about the idea of the world coming together peacefully to cheer on their home team as well as each other.
Of course, if you can’t watch the opening ceremonies (or anything at all) live, you can catch it On Demand thanks to Comcast’s NBC Olympics dashboard. With over 6000 hours of Summer Games programming, it’s impossible to catch ALL the action while it’s happening. Comcast has put together a dashboard that combines live television, online streaming and on-demand content, athlete profiles, and up-to-the-minute stats – in one integrated NBC Olympics dashboard AND it’s all searchable, at any time. How awesome is that?!?
You can check out the video below to see all of the awesome features.
Now, I know that during the Summer Games, my favorites are gymnastics, track & field, and swimming. I can actually program them as my favorites and even set up notifications if there is an event on that I want to watch. Not only can you do this for events, but for athletes! I can check on Michael Phelps any time I want. Of course, he’s a record-breaker, but he’s a hometown boy for us, which makes it extra special to cheer him on!
Each day, Comcast will provide several tune-in notifications for marquee Olympic events that viewers won’t want to miss. Curated in partnership with NBC, Must See Moment notifications will happen in real-time. Customers can sign-up during the Olympic trials via the X1 Sports app or via Front Row to Rio.
If you do not have Xfinity X1, you still have time before everything kicks off on Friday! There is no charge to upgrade and your monthly bill stays the same. There is no reason to not take advantage of all the extras that come with Xfinity X1!
