In the giveaway for the Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets, I asked readers to tell me their uses for dryer sheets. I was so impressed with the responses, I wanted to share with everyone! I had no idea the crazy ways you can use dryer sheets.

20 Ways to Use Dryer Sheets

You can use dryer sheets:

  1. to freshen the inside of shoes
  2. inside dresser drawers
  3. in gym bags
  4. (used dryer sheets) to collect pet hair and lint off clothing
  5. to remove bugs off your car
  6. to keep your car fresh (hide it under the driver’s seat)
  7. to reduce static in your hair
  8. in a sealed tote to freshen things that cannot easily be washed
  9. in stored luggage
  10. outside in cracks around the house to keep the wasps from building nests
  11. on the baseboards to help keep them clean
  12. to line the litter box
  13. to dust
  14. to repel gnats
  15. to prevent mice from coming in an RV
  16. in your AC or heater units to freshen up the room
  17. in closets
  18. in diapers that you can’t throw away immediately (think diaper bag here!)
  19. in the bottom of a trashcan
  20. to clean your television, keyboard, computer or any other electronics

Most of these will work with used dryer sheets as well! Reuse those ones from your laundry!

I use them in my dirty dishes soaking in the sink. You know the ones with caked on food -just let it soak with a dryer sheet in it and the food will come right off.

I’m sorry.. you just said to keep mice out of the RV? Can you help explain.. I’m scared now! We just bought an RV! How do mice get inside of it and how do I use the sheets to avoid it.. WE live on acres so I bet we have field mice…

Apparently if you find how rodents get into something (house, RV, etc), you can stuff a dryer sheet in the hole and they won’t chew through it to get in again
