We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

A couple of weeks ago I went to New York City for my first overnight conference, Blogger Bash. It was awesome! And I don’t just mean the overnight part, but the entire conference was amazing!
I took the Amtrak by myself (for the second time) and navigated my way from Penn Station to Chelsea Piers. When you think of NYC, you think of all the craziness and the rush of everything, but once I hit Chelsea Piers, it was beautiful. There were people just hanging out on the lawns, walking their dogs, and kids running around playing. And the view – Absolutely beautiful!
The conference started with Sweet Suite on Thursday evening and it was such a relief to finally meet one of my online friends, Carly from Lipgloss and Crayons, in real life! She came and greeted me at the door while I caught my breath and relaxed for a minute while preparing myself for all the fun ahead!
After checking in, picking up my name tag and checking my overnight bag, I had to snag a picture with Peppa Pig! You know the boys love Peppa!
Once inside the actual event, it was a bit overwhelming! We picked up a glass of wine and I began to glance around to see where I wanted to head first.
I started out at the Just Play Products booth because the Doc McStuffins toys caught my attention! Sure, she’s a girl, but the boys love Doc. Who doesn’t? She’s adorable, fixes toys and… I learned that she’ll be working on real animals soon! That’s where this toy comes into play.
The Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Checkup Center allows kids to slide in multiple play x-rays to activate lights and sounds, use the scale to weigh animals with a removable basket, and give them a bath with a pretend water sprayer. The Pet Vet Checkup Center is also equipped with an electronic stethoscope, kid-powered EKG, otoscope, brush and bandage sticker dispenser to fix boo boos. The patients can get a special treat after their checkup from the pet treat dispenser!

After this, I had to check out the Toy State booth! The entire booth was full of cars, trucks, and construction vehicles. It’s like it was just for me!
They had an awesome CAT Preschool vehicle that lit up and moved around. This one would be perfect for Owen. I also learned they have Machine Maker vehicles that you take apart and put back together that would be perfect for Charlie!

Are your kids Miles fans? My boys both love Miles from Tomorrowland and if you’ve seen an episode, you understand why! I was so excited to see quite a few toys for my Miles fans!
TOMY Toy had a Stellosphere that pulls apart into 3 separate ships with lights and sounds from one of our favorite tv shows. The Miles that you see above is Maximum Miles. He speaks ten different phrases and his board lights up when he rides! I know these Miles toys will be a big hit this year.

So, you know Charlie loves all things LEGO and you’ve seen our LEGO Superhero Party from his past birthday, but he’s not the only LEGO fan in the house! Owen loves building just like his big brother.
Charlie is always building a rocket ship, so I had to take a picture of this set because it’s perfect for Charlie! And you can never go wrong with any superhero set!
How sweet is this Duplo set for Owen? He loves Mickey and friends, so this is the best of both worlds for him.
I learned something new from the LEGO rep though: Duplo bricks are compatible with the regular bricks! I had no idea! I may be the last to know that, but it made me so happy!

We have two boys that love to dress up in our house. We have some career outfits for them and they create their own. What we don’t have yet is superhero costumes! I found a display from Imagine by Rubie’s that was packed with all the superhero dress up supplies we could need including masks, reversible capes and weapon of choice (like Thor’s hammer).
These are perfect sized for Charlie and Owen. They’re designed with ages 3 to 6 in mind.

There are so many other amazing toys and products I’ll be sharing with you that we were introduced to at Sweet Suite and Blogger Bash, but I wanted to do a quick round-up of what initially jumped out at me that the boys would love. This list could easily be 10 or 20 or 50 things they’d love to have, but I decided to keep it simple!
Would your kids go crazy over any of these?

I would like to buy the Car & Rocket ship from Amazon.
