I know Veteran’s Day was last week, but I believe our Veterans should be honored every day. They did so much for our country and deserve to be shown respect and gratitude.
We live just about 15 minutes from a Veterans Medical Center, Perry Point VA Medical Center, that provides inpatient medical, intermediate and long-term care programs, including nursing home care, rehabilitation services, geriatric evaluation and management, respite care, chronic ventilator care and hospice care.
My grandfather actually spent time here before he passed many years ago, so it hits close to home to visit. I wanted to do something nice and just show our veterans that they’re in our thoughts. I decided to put together a donation with some things that they could really use and would bring a bit of normalcy to life while in the medical center.

I’ll be taking the boys to drop off our donation along with their cards. I had Charlie trace his hand and then write “Just Saying Hi!” on the inside. And of course, some doodles along with them. Not everyone receives personalized mail, so I thought it would be an extra nice surprise to have the kids send along some kind thoughts and artwork.

I went shopping with the boys to get some things everyone would like. We picked out some simple craft items, a couple of puzzles, coloring books, nail polish, blankets, and travel-sized health and beauty products.
Sam’s Club Family Caregiving is your one-stop shop for all things caregiving, including prescription refills, free health screenings, and health-related products. The new packaging now available on Poise® and Depend® products at Sam’s Club shows me just how much I’m saving by shopping at Sam’s Club!
When you download the Digimarc Discovery app, you can scan anywhere on the Depend packaging, and it will drive you to the Sam’s Club Caregiver website.

While we were at Sam’s Club, I picked up a big box of Depend® Fit-Flex® Underwear for Men. After everything our veterans have gone through, I certainly think they deserve some dignity. Featuring all-around leg elastics and a smooth, close-to-body fit, this slip-on style is specifically designed for both comfort and protection. No need to feel like you’re wearing diapers when Depend Fit-Flex Underwear are an option!
At Sam’s Club, you’ll also find Poise® Pads – Maximum Absorbency (5 dot). Poise® Maximum Absorbency Pads provide even more absorbency to give everyone the confidence and protection they need for Light Bladder Leakage (LBL). Everyone can appreciate the discreet and worry-free protection.

This is such an awesome donation idea. I love that the kids made cards, too. Thanks for sharing your generous ideas! #client
