Two weeks into the year and we're finally getting over the funk that's been lingering since Christmas. This week we finally put Christmas away and I even got rid of about two totes worth of random Christmas things I've picked up through the years, but never actually use.
All in all, it's been a pretty awesome week. Here are some of our favorite things from the past week.
Last Friday night, we dropped each boy off to a grandma and then Tom and I took off for the night. I had no idea where we were going other than somewhere in PA. He had booked us a night at The Inn & Spa at Intercourse Village.
The bed and breakfast was absolutely beautiful. We got there late in the evening and went out to eat for a yummy meal at the Revere Tavern after settling in.
I wasn't quite ready to head to bed when we got back to our suite, so we borrowed a movie (The Witness) and grabbed a bag of popcorn from the main house.
Right across the street from the Inn, we found the most amazing little village filled with all sorts of shops. We spent a few hours here just wandering around on Saturday. I picked up several jams from Jam & Relish Kitchen. You could sample everything in here (and we did)!
If you don't know, now you do. I'm in a love/hate relationship with Pretty Little Liars. If you're a fan, you know what I mean.
After a long break, season 6 finally started this week!
Don't worry, you can binge watch the whole series of Pretty Little Liars on Netflix!
When Charlie got home from school on Monday, he went right up to his room and started working on his LEGO world. After hours and hours of building, he was so proud to show us everything he had done.
Charlie (who never wants pictures taken of him), instructed me to get my camera and take some pictures of his LEGO world and he even posed for a few!
I love the quiet time that we all had during this time, but I really love that this is something he is excited about and something he does well.
Roku Streaming Stick
When Netflix sent us a new Roku TV for our participation in the Stream Team this year, we moved our current TV upstairs to our bedroom. There is no cable up there and thanks to the Roku TV, I realized all of the things our Smart TV was actually missing.
I knew I needed to get a Roku for that TV and the Roku streaming stick was the perfect choice. If you don't have cable, I strongly suggest investing in one! I can now watch so many different things from my bed! It's the little things in life, friends!
Hope you have a great weekend!
