We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

This past week was a pretty lazy week around here. The blizzard hit and the kids had off school for three days.
Snow Play
We didn’t let Owen go out until Sunday because it was still snowing and super windy (remember it was a blizzard) on Saturday. I love watching the boys play in the snow, even if they weren’t exactly playing together.
And I think my favorite picture from our week of snow is this one of Owen and Daddy.
A New Friend
Charlie got off the bus on Thursday (the first day back after snow days) and immediately started talking about this new friend that’s going to come over and play with his LEGOs and they’re going to build a big city. I have not met this boy yet and actually had to post on our community page to figure out who his parents are. We’ll be setting up a day soon that he can come over and play. Charlie’s been going to school since September, but this is the first kid he’s been really excited about and wants him to come over to play. That’s a big step for us!
Bingo Night
Tonight we had our first Bingo Night at Charlie’s school. It was actually really sad because the fundraiser completely flopped and only about 25 people were there. I’m assuming that was because school was closed three days and threw everyone off of their schedule.
The plus side of only a few people coming is that we each won a few times! They had a bunch of nice prizes and Charlie had a great time with Mommy and Mommom!
BeachesMoms Yearbook
Yesterday’s mail included a special surprise from MyPrintly and the Social Media on the Sand Team! They sent us a yearbook that included a few shots from our time there and all of our pictures in typical yearbook fashion that were taken at the 80s party!

The yearbook also included a nice little note about penciling in the date for 2016! Yes, I most certainly will because I can’t wait to go back!
