During the school year, we spend so much time running around doing a million different things between school, church, scouts, and the often less-than-stellar weather. Once the weather breaks, we try to get outside and enjoy it as much as possible. In the evenings, we tend to eat dinner outside at the picnic table whenever we can. Dinner outside doesn't have to be a huge deal and a giant cookout all the time. It can be as simple as this yummy Hawaiian BBQ Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It's perfect for your summer dinners!

Our summer does get a little hectic with both boys home. They're either best friends or screaming at each other. It's like there's no middle ground.

Know what I don't like to do during the beautiful summer weather with two kids? Grocery shop.

Walmart has made it even easier for us to pick up all of our necessities with Online Grocery Pickup!

I gave it a try for the first time this past week and you guys… it's love.

I just sat down at the computer (or you can use your phone) and placed my grocery order. I set the time I wanted to pick it up and I was done!

When the order was ready, I received a notification on my phone from the Walmart Grocery App and I was able to “check-in” saying that I was on my way. Easy-peasy!

Once I got to Walmart, I didn't need to do anything at all! Someone came up, checked my name, and then brought my order out!

Not having to drag the kids through the store and waste an hour of my day in a store is a huge win for me!

Would I rather spend an hour playing with these guys outside or in the grocery store?

I will always choose to spend that time playing!

Our afternoons are spent outside.

The kids can play outside and get the crazies out while I'm manning the grill. Dad works in a seasonal store, so he gets home later in the summer.

In my Walmart order, I picked up some of our essentials to master summer dinners. I grabbed some Tyson® Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs, Tyson® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts,  Ball Park® Hot Dogs, Ball Park® Burger Buns, and Lipton® Iced Tea Bags.

I try to make sure I always have Tyson® Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs in the freezer. They're perfect for whenever I need dinner on the fly. You can cook them from frozen!

For our Hawaiian BBQ Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, I used Tyson® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, but you could use the thighs also (just thaw them before grilling).

Owen will eat chicken sandwiches, but Charlie opted to just cut his chicken up and eat it with a fork. Either way is perfectly fine with me!

Serve with some chips and you've got a super simple and delicious dinner to enjoy outside!

Cookouts don't have to be fancy and elaborate.

I made up some Pink Iced Tea with our Lipton® Iced Tea Bags. Again, keeping it super simple. I brewed the tea according to directions then added a can of frozen pink lemonade and 3 cups of ice water. Yum!

If your kids won't go for the Hawaiian BBQ Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, you can always toss some of the Ball Park® Hot Dogs on the grill while the chicken is cooking. I don't know anyone that turns down a hot dog.

Talk about yum!!!

I hope you all enjoy your summer and get outside, even if it's just for a simple dinner. After working all day, even us adults need some down time and fresh air! Enjoy that time outside and not in the grocery store – make sure you try Walmart's Grocery Pickup!
