We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

Motherhood is tough. We’re supposed to have everything under control, like all the time. I’m more of a fly by the seat of my pants kind of mom and I’m often still looking for an adultier adult in the room. Lucky for me, my husband’s much better at adulting. Too bad he’s at work all day.
Over the weekend, I did enjoy laughing from my office while I listened to him freak out about Owen’s attempt at wiping himself. There was no sympathy here and I offered no help. Potty training that kid has been a blast.

The kids go back to school exactly 3 weeks from today. While I’m glad summer was extended this year and we go back after Labor Day, I’m exhausted. There has been so much whining and fighting and crying and did I mention the whining and fighting?
I mean, they’re either complaining because there’s no one to play with or they’re complaining about sharing the same air. You can’t have it both ways. The boys have both spent way too much time with electronics this summer, but there’s a balance in there somewhere I believe. We had quite the adventure in Kentucky for almost a month and have spent plenty of time playing with blocks, coloring, and having fun outside of electronics too. When it’s all said and done – we survived. The kids have had a great summer and we made it through.
By the time dinner rolls around, I’m done. I mean really, who wants to fight about dinner when there’s already been so much fighting throughout the day? It can’t just be me.
In our house, pizza is always a winner. There is no crying about pizza, unless it’s Charlie and we didn’t get cheese. Of course, we always have Red Baron® Brick Oven Cheese Trio in the freezer. It’s our favorite! Find it at Walmart in the frozen pizza aisle and be sure to use this ibotta offer to save when you buy 2 pizzas!
Pairing a frozen pizza with a fruit and vegetable packed salad makes for a complete meal and one that the kids will actually love!

I would’ve never thought to pair all those flavors, but the onions and watermelon look so tasty. #client
