When I think about gluten-free organic snacks, my nose kind of turns up a bit if you know what I mean. I think sweets like cookies and brownies should be yummy and luxurious! However, I’m one of those people that will try anything (at least) once.
I’m so glad I gave these a try!
ginnybakes is a family-owned company, whose passion is to create outrageously delicious and nutritious treats that everyone can enjoy. The founder, Ginny, is a holistic nutritionist, who believes that your body deserves only the finest ingredients, so she’s made sure that’s the only thing they put in each of their products. Members of their team work tirelessly to deliver a wide range of outrageously delicious cookies.
We had to take my mom to an appointment the day our box of ginnybakes goodies arrived, so I grabbed a pack of chocolate chip love – minis and ran out the door. With kids, you know how important it can be to have a treat ready at all times.
As you can see, Charlie loved the ginnybakes minis! Owen wanted them too, but mean Mom said no (not that Charlie was interested in sharing anyway). ginnybakes cookies have no artificial ingredients and all of their products are gluten-free, organic, non-GMO, and kosher. These would be fine to share with the baby, but they’re too hard for him right now. I love that the cookies have a bite, but Owen’s not quite ready yet.
Since I don’t do coconut, I had the hubby test out the ginnybakes’ coconut oatmeal bliss line, made with organic coconut blended with dark, organic raisins, crispy whole walnuts, and gluten-free rolled oats to make the perfect oatmeal cookie with a tropical twist. He approved and said they were really good. Like the ginnyminis, they have a crisp bite to them. If you’re looking for soft chewy cookies, these are not for you.
We’re lucky that we don’t have to worry about being gluten-free, but many families do. I love that ginnybakes offers so many products for the gluten-free crowd: cookies, bars, crumble snacks, and baking mixes.
We made the brownies already. They were too crumbly for me to just eat, but tasted delicious with my ice cream! I can’t wait to try the other mixes that are waiting so impatiently in the kitchen.
ginnybakes products are sold at Costco stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, Whole Food Market stores, and Fresh Market. They recently found their way into Stop & Shop, Giant, Martin’s, Big Y stores, and Peapod for those who live in the New York and New England region! Use the store locator on ginnybakes.com to find even more ginnybakes locations.
