We’re in the process of planning our 10 year High School reunion. I was on the Executive Board in High School, so I’m on the planning committee. At our first meeting we were discussing the idea of having people fill out little questionnaires about themselves now and giving superlatives for certain things: most educated, most children, came the farthest distance, etc.

Prom
First off, I can’t believe it’s already been 10 years. It seems like just yesterday we were wandering halls, avoiding papers, and going to prom.

My BFF, Amber is also on the planning committee. She said if she had to do a write-up of how the past 10 years have been,  she’d be pleased and proud of where she is right now.

My reply was career/education wise, I’m nowhere near where I thought I’d be or where I should be. I do, however, have the most amazing family. I hopped around to a few colleges and made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I must’ve done something right to have what I do.
Graduation with my still best friend

I could not have imagined my life the way it is now, but I think it’s turned out pretty awesome.

We all need a reminder sometimes that everything will work out, one way or another. Things that we had planned for ourselves might not have been in the master plan, at least not when we planned them.

What were you doing 10 years ago? When you look back at the past 10 years, are you happy with how things have changed (or stayed the same)?

I’m actually going to my 20th this June. It doesn’t feel like THAT much time has passed, but I also said that at my tenth and here I am 10 years later..

Things don’t always work out how you plan, but usually that’s the best way! It would be my ten year anniversary this year too! I didn’t even realize it until I read your blog!

10 years ago, wow. I was engaged and planning my wedding. I couldn’t be more happy with the things God has brought to our lives, a move to Charlotte, two beautiful girls, and opportunities beyond belief. Glad you are enjoying life too!

Oh, man. Sometimes I wonder how my high school reunion would have been (10 years was already four years ago for me!). It wasn’t the best time in my life, but the curious/observational side of me is dying to know how some people turned out and what they look like now!

Wow, 10 years! 10 years ago I was working 40 hours as a manager at Target and going to school for retail management. 10 years later I’m a WAHM Mom of 3 kids – wouldn’t change it!

I’ve recently heard from my grade school classmates about wanting to plan a reunion. I think it’s been 26 years since 8th grade LOL

The past 10 years have been interesting. The 10 years between graduating high school and my reunion? Those had so many ups and downs. I took my now-husband to my reunion (he was “just” a boyfriend at the time) and I’m so glad I didn’t settle between 1996 and 2006! 😉

I had my 10 year reunion in late 2012 – and it was crazy to see how much people that changed. Even with Facebook to keep up with most of them, there were so many new stories to tell and there were a couple I didn’t recognize.

I am not 100% on the career front over the past 10 years, as I hoped to have a Bachelor’s degree right now. But if I hadn’t gotten pregnant in college, I may not have found how much I love blogging and social media!

10 years ago I was married for a little over 2 months, and Valentine’s Day I found out I was pregnant with our daughter. It was an amazing time. Take it all in because it just flies by faster as you get older. Have fun at the reunion!

I’ve been graduated for 5 years and it’s so weird to think high school was so long ago. I can’t wait for my 10 year reunion!

A HS reunion is a great reminder of your dreams and aspirations. Ten years ago I was bregnant with my son and a year later I graduated from the University. I was not happy with my BS degree but I love my Masters degree. And even more I love my son and my job. I also got the job I dreamed about ten years ago 🙂

I’m sad that I’m where I am now, but on the other hand I’m happy that I’m here. That probably doesn’t make sense to you but to me it does. lol

I never went back to my 10 year reunion. Don’t really miss anything but I have to say that my life didn’t quite turn out the way I had planned it in High School but I wouldn’t change it for anything now.

10 years ago I had just graduated from nursing school. That is a great accomplishment, but I thought I would have been further in my continuing education, but somehow life has got in the way. But that’s okay it’s a good life.
