Elkton Relay for Life Pears Up with Johnsonville

I just found one of the coolest and easiest ways to earn money or money towards apparel for a group! This morning while I was watching Doc McStuffins, I created a page for our Elkton Relay for Life to earn sponsorship of shirts!

Our Elkton Relay for Life event doesn’t take place until May, but we have the entire year to fundraise. Relay For Life is an overnight event for The American Cancer Society. The event celebrates those who have fought cancer and won, remember those who have lost the fight, and supports those still fighting the disease. Elkton Relay for Life’s goal for our 2015 event is $150,000! We’ve just really started to kick off for 2015 and what a better way to kick off than to get some awesome shirts to spread the news!

We’re all busy these days and so many people shy away from fundraising, but the Pear campaign is the perfect way to be supported. All we need to do is some clicking, engaging with the sponsor (Johnsonville), and we’re earning real money towards our shirts! How easy is that? No actual donation is needed, just sharing and interacting! If you visit my Pear page and click around to interact, even you can help us raise money for our shirts!

Like most of you, I was pretty skeptical at first. I was wrong though. It was super easy to set up and we already have $9 in our account within 5 minutes!

So… how does it work?

1. Pick what group or charity you want to support.
2. Decide what type of sponsorship you want. You may choose from an for an event or group* (up to $1000 can be earned) or a on behalf of a group (up to $1000 can be earned).
3. After just a couple minutes, you’ll be all set up to go! You have 10 days to raise your funds.
4. Share your page on all your social media accounts (multiple times so everyone sees it) and hopefully you reach your goal in 10 days! Even if you don’t reach $1,000, you keep whatever you do raise!

*You can create a Pear for apparel for any women’s-centered group like a mom’s club, book club, or even events like bridal showers, bachelorette parties, family reunions (perfect if you’re getting together over the holidays!), cookie exchanges, community service projects, etc.

I really love that Johnsonville is helping families and groups reach their goals and help out in their communities! The more people that see your Pear and interact with your page, the more money your group can earn!
