I have a confession. We don't follow college basketball. I know…. I know… Honestly, we're more of a football family. This year though, Maryland has been kicking butt and we love to cheer on the hometown gang! One thing I can totally get on board with is game time snacks!

We're sharing some snacks today that are perfect for your game viewing parties or just because. For us, they're usually perfect for lunch or an easy dinner. Delimex has you covered for a quick meal and we just jazzed it up a bit with a couple of dips and a dessert. You always need dessert, right?

Two easy dips that go great with taquitos!

Charlie's birthday is at the end of April, but we've been making trips to Walmart to purchase supplies here and there. It's much easier on the wallet that way. Speaking of easier on the wallet, I had a coupon to save $1 off any two Delimex Frozen Taquito products (excluding Fruit Taquito products) that I was able to use while we were on our last trip (grabbing Spiderman and Avengers cups). You can print this coupon out until April 7th to save you some money, too! Just click the coupon below to print one for yourself! The coupon expires May 4th, 2015.

They're easy enough to find in the frozen snack and appetizer aisle. We grabbed the Beef & Cheese Flour Taquitos and the Chicken Corn Taquitos. Delimex also has tamales and rolled tacos available now. I can't wait to try them, too!

The Delimex taquitos will be ready in less than 15 minutes and just get tossed on a cookie sheet in the oven. It doesn't get much easier than that!

These dips are quick and painless to prepare; just how we like to do things around here! Start with the Hot Cheesy Bacon Dip since it needs to bake.

Hot Cheesy Bacon Dip tastes great with taquitos or chips!

While your Hot Cheesy Bacon Dip is baking, start your Easy Caramel Apple Empanadas. I know whenever we make it to Taco Bell, I have to order one three of these. They're so easy to make, we'll be baking them as an easy dessert from now on. No Taco Bell required!

Easy Caramel Apple Empanadas are baked, not fried!

Recipe type: Dessert
Ingredients
  • 2 refrigerated premade pie crusts
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • caramel bits
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400º.
  2. Unroll the pie crusts, spreading them just a bit thinner than it already is.
  3. Use a biscuit cutter, cookie cutter, or a small bowl to cut circles out of each pie crust. (I was able to get 3, then had to stretch a bit more to get my 4th from each.)
  4. Spoon 2-3 apples into the middle of each circle.
  5. Add about 5-8 caramel bits around the apples.
  6. Wet the edges of the pie crusts with a little water, and fold over the circle in half.
  7. Use a fork to press and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the top of each with a little of filling sauce.
  9. Place each empanada on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 400º for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

The last thing you want to get ready is your Easy Avocado Ranch Dip. With avocados, you want it as fresh as possible!

My favorite combo was the Beef & Cheese Taquito with the Hot Cheesy Bacon Dip! So yummy! Charlie didn't care for the Avocado Ranch Dip, but Owen loved it. Of course, the Caramel Apple Empanadas didn't last long. Mommy may have had 2.

If you can see, I set up a little bar with the dips already in baby food jars and stuck a taquito right in it. This makes grab and go snacks for kids (or adults) even easier. No plates needed, meaning less dishes later and less time away from the game!

Check out DelimexFiesta.com for more great ideas for snacking during game time or any time! Come back and let me know some of your favorites! And don't forget to grab your coupon!

If you're following the tournaments, who are you cheering for?

There may be more pie crust in the fridge to make more… you know, for when the kids are sleeping!

I love the taquitos, though I usually just dip them in hot sauce or eat them dry. I am going to have to try these dips.

The Cheesy Bacon dip is calling my name. It sounds delicious. I’ve never eaten a Taquito, but the Beef & Cheese Taquito sounds delicious too. I’ll have to try them on my next trip to Wal-Mart. Thanks for sharing on Sunday’s Best linkup.
