Holiday Books from Candlewick Press

We love reading! It’s that simple. I grew up reading giant books in just a couple of days and hope that my boys develop a love of reading as well. Right now, I think we’re on track for that. We actually have a ton of books and if you ask Charlie, “I not need any more books. I has plenty”. He does have plenty, but I don’t think you can ever really have too many books. I think the key is to only have so many out at a time. I love being able to pull out holiday books and stock our shelves in preparation for Christmas!

Candlewick Press has some beautiful books that are perfect to pull out with our Christmas stash or to give as gifts!

The books that we received are great for both boys. Owen and paper books don’t mix quite yet, but board books are a hit for everyone! Both of these are aged 2-5, so they’ll be Christmas favorites in our house for quite a few years.

Maisy’s Christmas Tree

We’ve read other books from the Maisy series, but this is our first for a holiday book. Maisy and her friends are decorating their Christmas tree with lights, ornaments, candy canes, and an angel on the top! It’s a very sweet book perfect for the toddlers and preschoolers! Also, when the book is open, it looks like a little Christmas tree!

Just Right for Christmas

One snowy Christmas Eve, a king buys some soft, red cloth to make the perfect Christmas gift for his daughter. Little does he know that the leftover cloth will be used to make presents for many more of the kingdom’s inhabitants, right down to the last teeny bit of cloth, which is made into a scarf just right for a mouse.

This is an adorable book that really celebrates the joy of giving. For a preschooler like Charlie, this is such an important lesson. Bundle it up in a cute book, and it’s a hit with everyone!
