We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]
Our Christmas Week

Wow! What happened to the past week?!? I can’t believe it’s New Year’s Eve already! We had a great Christmas with several family gatherings. It’s always a bit crazy, but I love seeing everyone.
The boys wound up with way too much stuff and we’re in the process of putting it all away and deciding what needs to go because it’s not played with anymore. I have the hardest time parting with toys that were once loved, but I desperately need to do it because the house is being overrun with their things that just are used.
A couple of days before Christmas, I started to really feel like crap. After a trip to urgent care on the 26th, I was on antibiotics for Strep Throat. Tom went the day after I did and he’s also on antibiotics now as well. The boys have been feeling okay, just some sniffles and Owen’s nose is running like crazy currently. We’re all on the mend though!
My favorite Christmas present was my grandparents surprising us! They decided sometime right before Christmas to drive up the 10+ hours to visit! I cry happy tears every time I see them! I do wish I hadn’t felt so sick while they were here, but we’ll see them again next week because we’re taking a trip there!
Saturday night we visited with extended family, but didn’t stay as long as we normally do. Everyone was sick and getting rather miserable. We’ll get together again soon when everyone is 100% (or at least close).
On Sunday, Tom and I went to our first Ravens game! I won tickets to the Miller Lite Flite Deck and it was amazing! Not only was it our first game, but they won! And because they won, that means we made the playoffs! We’re big on football around here in case you forgot.
Our New Year’s Eve is going to be pretty uneventful. We’ll be thanks to Netflix and All Hail King Julien. I figure we’ll watch a few episodes and then the countdown. Tom and I will probably find a movie to watch that will lead us up to the actual New Year. If we’re still awake by then, we’ll kiss and then head to bed!
I hope everyone had a great holiday and stays safe tonight.
See you next year!
