We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]
Stress-Free Paw Patrol 3rd Birthday Party

Party City provided us with party supplies, but all opinions are my own.
Like most three-year-olds, Owen absolutely loves Paw Patrol! So of course, this year we decided to have a Paw Patrol themed party for our little man.
If you’ve seen our other parties, you know I can go a bit crazy with DIY party ideas. While I love going all out like that, it’s exhausting. I certainly can’t do that for their parties every year. Owen’s birthday is two days before Halloween so it’s kind of a crazy time of year. We all know that after Halloween comes Thanksgiving, which is immediately followed by Christmas.
This year, I made life easier on myself and we had A Party City Party. Being able to order everything I need online and have it shipped right to my door is definitely a perk!
We just moved into a new house and knew we’d be able to have Owen’s party outside and boy did we luck out with the weather! I rented a bounce house for the day (because who doesn’t love a bounce house?) and it was a huge hit. It also kept the boys entertained while Tom and I were getting things together for the party.

By the end of the day, everyone played in the bounce house!
Just before the party started, the wind picked up and that through off my Paw Patrol decorating plans a bit. Honestly though, we made it work the best we could and the bottom line is my kid had a fantastic day at his Paw Patrol Birthday Party.
While I normally go crazy making themed food and all that jazz, this year I ordered up some pizza and pasta. Less prep time for me means more time I can actually just enjoy the party. I like playing hostess, but I love just being Mommy!
The kids had their own separate table (which did not get decorated thanks to the wind). They sat here with their pizza and enjoyed coloring these awesome Paw Patrol coloring sheets with markers. I love having a few activities like this for a party. If someone shows up later, they can hop right in and not miss out on anything.
We didn’t have too many guests make it to Owen’s party this year because of various things going on and while it bummed me out, Owen didn’t mind at all! When it came time for the pinata, that just meant more for each kiddo that was there!
Everyone loves candy in a pinata, but I don’t put much in our pinatas, especially with a birthday so close to Halloween. I love putting favors in the pinata with some candy mixed in. The Paw Patrol favors inside a Paw Patrol pinata is definitely a win with the kids!
Don’t worry! We made sure to send our friends home with extra favors, too! Some of the things they took home included wristbands, cups, and stickers.
We (attempted to) put the Paw Patrol scene setter up on the shed in the backyard, but the wind had other ideas. We did not get all of the pieces up, but enough to snap a few pictures!
I normally make my own cupcakes, but this time I just ordered them and had them ready when I needed them. Stress-free! Of course, you can order the Paw Patrol cupcake picks and Paw Patrol cupcake wrappers from Party City and make your own cupcakes.
Who doesn’t love giant balloons of their favorite characters? We were able to have all of the balloons you see in the pictures AND the helium tank needed to fill them, shipped right to the house! Seriously, so much easier than running to the store the day of the party and fighting to get them in and out of the car.
And it’s not a party without a game! We played Give Chase His Badge (just like Pin the Tail on the Donkey). We even had medals to give everyone after playing!
Having a birthday party for your kiddo shouldn’t stress you out. This was one of the most laid-back parties I have had and it was amazing. Owen had a blast with all of his Paw Patrol friends and I got to enjoy the party and socialize.
Why have a party when you can have a Party City party?
