I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Hasbro and Playskool. I received product samples and a party stipend to facilitate my review, as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I know I’ve told you that we’re going to Beaches later this month, but did you know that Sesame Street characters are found all over the resort? The boys are getting so excited to hang out with their favorite Sesame Street friends!
To amp up the excitement even more, we hosted a little party with our friends to show off our new Play All Day Elmo!
Play All Day Elmo is already on many of the top holiday toy lists for 2015! Play All Day Elmo is one of the most playful Elmo toys that has ever been released! This Elmo features 150+ responses and eight games and activities, including two different modes of play: Toddler and Preschool.
For our party, we set up some fun snacks. You know I like to keep it simple, but fun!
- 2 cups crispy rice cereal
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ⅔ cup honey
- red icing
- candy eyes
- black decorating gel
- orange m&ms
- Add crispy rice cereal to a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave safe bowl, add peanut butter and honey.
- Microwave on high for about 1 minute. Remove and stir to completely combine.
- Pour the mixture into the crispy rice cereal and mix well.
- Spoon rice cereal mixture into mini cupcake pan.
- Place in refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Remove from refrigerator and place on tray.
- Spread a little red icing over the top of each.
- Place 2 candy eyes close together at the top.
- Use an orange m&m for Elmo's nose.
- Use the black decorating gel to make a half moon/blob for the mouth.
The kids love playing with Elmo! I love that both of our boys can really play because of the different modes. In Toddler mode, young children can enjoy basic cause-and-effect play, like tickling Elmo or squeezing his nose to see how Elmo might respond. In Preschool mode, preschoolers and Elmo can take play to the next level with games and activities. Games include Hop and Count, Pat-a-Cake, Freeze Dance, Animal Sounds, Elmo Says, Color Guessing, What’s Up in the Sky, Red Light Green Light.
You can easily switch from one mode to the other. There is also a NAP mode! I love that Owen can curl up and snuggle with Elmo without worrying about Elmo wanting to play! You can start a lullaby by squeezing his nose. Even Charlie kept commenting how soft and cuddly Elmo is!
This was Owen’s first time checking out Elmo! He thought he was hilarious! Like most little ones, Play All Day Elmo can really PLAY ALL DAY!
The big kids loved passing Elmo around while playing Freeze Dance! As of right now, that’s Charlie’s favorite game with Elmo. He doesn’t quite get the idea of standing still, even for a minute! Maybe Elmo will be able to teach him!
Don’t worry, our friends didn’t go home alone! Hasbro and Playskool sent along some other toys for our friends!
Each guest got their choice of PLAYSKOOL Friends MY LITTLE PONY MUSICAL CELEBRATION CASTLE or PLAYSKOOL Heroes JURASSIC WORLD TYRANNOSAURUS REX!
The new line, MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDS, is a perfect collection of a toddler friendly version of our favorite MY LITTLE PONY friends. They’re chunky and designed specifically for little hands. This super cool castle is interactive for the kids and even plays lullaby music for when the ponies need a nap!
The PLAYSKOOL HEROES product line is specifically designed for curious and courageous younger kids looking to jump into big kid action! Inspired by characters from the JURASSIC WORLD movie and sized right for little hands, this TYRANNOSAURUS REX playset is will be a big win with little ones! Both boys have been loving trying to capture T-Rex while he tries to gobble them up.
If you’re making these Elmo Rice Crispy Treats for a playdate snack, remember to make sure there are no peanut allergies! One of our friends has a peanut allergy, so that’s something we always have to be mindful of. You can always make regular rice crispy treats and decorate them up like Elmo following the same instructions!
Do you have an Elmo fan in your house?
