Over the weekend, we started moving some furniture into the house! Yay! That means it's actually starting to look like someone can live there soon!
Pretty much the last thing we're finishing up before moving in is the kitchen. It had a goose border and pinkish walls. After stripping the wallpaper border, Tom is painting the walls white. That pink countertop is not nearly so bad now.
As you can see, we haven't exactly been using the kitchen. One of the cabinets has some snacks and the fridge has a few things in it, but for the most part, the kitchen is pretty empty of real food.
While we've been working on things at the house, we're not sticking to any kind of normal schedule. Those boys of mine are pretty much starving all the time and we need to keep them happy and fed to get as much as we can get done during those random hours in the evening.
During a recent Walmart run, we picked up some new Gerber snacks. It's been awhile since we've had Gerber snacks in our house now that Owen is almost 3, but these Gerber® Lil’ Beanies™ caught my eye!
I figured I would give them a shot and Owen was more than happy holding onto them during the rest of our shopping trip.
Both boys LOVE these Gerber Lil' Beanies and I love that this cute little baked snack is made with the goodness of navy beans! I know, sounds weird, right? I tried them and the White Cheddar & Broccoli is actually delicious! Giving the boys a nutritious snack that they love is definitely a win-win!
Oh, and you know I love a good deal! Right now, there is an Ibotta offer for these awesome little snacks!
I had Tom try them also and he agreed they're tasty! He said toss them out at a birthday party and everyone will just assume they're yummy cheese curls. Of course, I know they're better!
With happy, cooperative, non-starving children, we're able to get more done at the house. Charlie's room is ready for him to move in. We just need to put his bedding on.
We need to add a few more things to Owen's room and I need to call and order the rails for the twin frame for the crib. For now, he'll be fine in the toddler bed still.
I can't wait to share more about our new house and some of the things we've done to make it a home!

How exciting to see all the things getting done in your new house! Those snacks for your boys look like an easy thing to transport with you while you’re busy working in the house. It’s always great when you find a new food product that your kids like.
