Regal has just announced the lineup for 2014’s Summer Movie Express.

You’ll need to find your theater and see when they are starting. For example, the theater closest to me starts June 17th and the one closest to my sister starts June 3rd.

Week 1
Hotel Transylvania
The Smurfs 2

Week 2
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
The Pirates: Band of Misfits

Week 3
Arthur Christmas
Despicable Me 2

Week 4
Lego
Free Birds

Week 5
 Adventures of TinTin
Rise of the Guardians

Week 6
Kung Fu Panda 2
Madagascar 3

Week 7
The Croods
Epic

Week 8
Turbo
Walking with Dinosaurs

Week 9
Mr. Peabody & Sherman
Rio 2

We went to a couple last summer and I hope to make a few this year if we can manage with the baby. In my area, it’s mostly small children and moms that attend. It’s really not a big deal if you have to leave and you’re only out $1/person. It’s the perfect time to test out going to the theater if you haven’t taken the kids yet.

We have been doing this every summer since my boys were little. They used to be free, but I can’t really complain about $1.

I had no idea the Summer Movie Express was offered! There are quite a few movies on here I’d love to see with my 3 year old. I need to figure out where the nearest Regal Theater is (I’m not familiar with the other two).

Darn, we don’t have a Regal here. I shouldn’t complain though. We do have a $1 theater that we like to frequent, even though it is in need of definite upgrades!

I love $1 or $2 theaters. We don’t even have a regular movie theater around us though, we have to drive an hour to get to the closest movie theater.

What a generous gesture. Movie tickets have become so expensive that some families can no longer go. This would be a great way to get everyone attending again.
