Can you believe that it's already almost time for back to school? It seems like they just got out! We applied for the Pre-K program in our county and hopefully Charlie will secure a spot, making this his first year at a big school. If not, he'll be back at the church preschool for a second year. If he attends the public school, we'll definitely be doing some back to school shopping! Even if he goes back to the church preschool though, there are items that are always needed like crayons, glue, paper towels, and tissues!

Get a jump on your back to school shopping and get double box tops on select items at Walmart!

Back to school shopping can be so stressful! I remember when I was in school, we always went a few days before school started and there was such a rush making sure we had everything we needed. I'm sure my mom stressed out about it a bit.

It doesn't have to be stressful though! If you shop at Walmart, you can do all of your back to school shopping at one place! One-stop shopping is something that ranks crazy high on my list. And to make it even better, right now you can find select packages of your favorite necessities with double box tops!

Double Box Tops Items

While grabbing a new aquarium for a fish we won at the fair today (that's a story for another day), I picked up a few essentials we need at the house anyway and some items we'll put away for back to school!

If you're not familiar with Box Tops, they're a great way to earn some money for your school. Even if you don't have kids in school, you can save them up and choose a school for them to go to! You'll find them on so many items you need everyday, like the above!

I put together a cute little storage container for our Box Tops this year. We like using things we already have around the house, so I grabbed a Parmesan cheese container I'd been saving for a project and thought it would work great.

Easy Box Tops storage idea using a recycled container! Save them up to earn money for your school!

All you need is an empty Parmesan cheese shaker, some washi tape and some cute scrapbook paper. I found this super cute kid paper at Walmart.

Box Tops Container Supplies

Instructions:

  1. Cut paper to size of shaker container.
  2. Using washi tape, tape paper to container.
  3. Cut out a picture of the Box Tops from your package (not your actual Box Tops).
  4. Use washi tape to add the Box Tops to your container.
  5. Add Box Tops inside when you get them!

To get you ready for Back to School shopping and get a head start on your Box Tops collection for the year, I'm giving away a $20 gift card to Walmart!

Have you started your back to school shopping yet? What's on your list?

I finished most of my shopping, but I would like to pick up a few extra supplies to donate to my child’s classroom. Wal-Mart is my favorite place to shop for back to school since it has EVERYTHING I can think of!

Such a cute idea! We usually use a magnetic clip and a ziplock Baggie on the fridge. This looks way better!

I have started my shopping but no where close to being done. Luckily I just have my son to shop for, he is much easier to shop for than my girls were.

I’ve been buying items each week a little at a time so I don’t get hit all at once. I also make sure to buy extra’s to have for during the year when the kids need extra supplies.

When my kids were small and in school we used to have a lot of fun shopping for new school clothes and supplies. I let them pick out their own things.

My kids are homeschooled. I usually buy school supplies whenever I see them on sale. The best sales are usually in early July so I stock up before the local public schools put out their supply lists. The next best sales are in September when the schools have started, most of the kids have already bought their supplies, and the stores are anxious to put out their Halloween stuff… because you know we need nearly a full two months of Halloween (sarcasm).

My kids always get excited when back to school time comes around. We take a whole day, shopping and eating at our favorite restaurant.

My son is going into his Senior year of high school so I’ve been buying school supplies for YEARS! I try to shop on the tax-free dates and research all of the sales ahead of time.

That’s a great idea to make a container for the box tops. Mine usually end up sitting on the kitchen counter for a while, then eventually get put in a bowl on the hutch in the dining room.

I always tried to get a head start on back to school shopping because my daughter needed tall and slim sizes and of course they’d all be sold out if I didn’t. My daughter and I would be exhausted from shopping, but happy with our purchases and we’d always have a “fashion show” when we got home and count our blessings!

When my children were in kindergarten, I remember getting a crazy long list of what my children would need. I sent exactly what they asked for. It all came back on the first day. The items were not needed after all. From then on, I do not buy school supplies until I find out exactly what the children would need. Thank you

I actually start the back to school clothes shoppiing for my grandkids in February. I shop up until June as I purchase larger size clothing for the grandkids as they will be into the larger size by the fall. I purchase everything when it is on clearance but still name brand but is a huge savings.

Really cute and easy to make! I love it! Kids are also always enthusiastic about doing crafts so they’ll love it! It also is handy to have because there is always a need for more storage… Thank you for sharing!
