Finding Joy in the Journey

Two Weeks in Ireland with Kids

We took a trip to Ireland last year, but it was just us. We knew immediately the kids would love it, so this time we brought the kids to Ireland! Day 1 We left the house Monday, August 14th about noon and arrived at Newark International Airport at about 2:30, breezed through security, and sat […]

Fizzy Party Drinks are not just for adults! We're sharing a great way to involve the kids in a better-for-you way and fun glittery glass tutorial!

The holiday season brings a lot of parties to the calendar! For Christmas and New Year’s there are often several of those parties that bubbly or sparkling drinks are offered, though they’re often just for the adult crowd. This year we’re letting the kids in on the fun with some Fizzy Party Drinks!

SodaStream Waters

We were sent a new SodaStream Power Automatic Sparkling Water Maker and some SodaStream Sparkling Drink Mixes! I knew they would be perfect to liven up our drinks!

I need to confess: I’m not a water drinker, but I wish I was. I am so over the moon excited about being able to make my water into something I will actually drink. The SodaStream Power is really easy to set-up and it doesn’t take up much room on the counter. Those are both huge pluses in my house!

We made up a few different combinations, but our favorites are Frozen Berry Punch and Gummy Apples.

Frozen Berry Punch

To make our Fizzy Frozen Berry Punch, we used frozen strawberries and Waters | Fruits – Berry Mix from SodaStream.

Gummy Apples Fizzy Drink

For our Fizzy Gummy Apples, we tossed a couple of gummy bears in the bottom and then added our Sparkling Water that we mixed with Waters | Sparking Gourmet – Green Apple Cucumber. I think the Waters | Sparking Gourmet – Coriander Apple Blossom would be great with this one as well!

For a holiday party, set up a Fizzy Party Drinks bar!

Fizzy Party Drinks are not just for adults! We're sharing a great way to involve the kids in a better-for-you way and fun glittery glass tutorial!

Stocked with several varieties of SodaStream Sparkling Drink Mixes, fruit, gummy candies, some fun straws and you’ll be set for whatever the kiddos want to make!

Did you notice our glittery glasses? Those are so easy to make and add an extra special amount of fun to a party!

Easy Glitter Glasses

Making the glitter glasses is quick and easy! I used some adhesive spray on the bottom half of the glasses then sprinkled on glitter, waited a few minutes to dry and they were ready to use!

Glitter Glasses take just a few minutes to make, but can really add a special touch to a party!

The kids could actually help make these earlier in the night with different colored glitter and then use their glasses later in the evening for their fun fizzy drinks. We used plastic champagne flutes since they’re for the kids.

I’m sure many people do, but we don’t let the kids have soda yet. We push water and hope that the kids will drink it. I can already tell the difference the SodaStream Power is going to bring to our house! I love that I’m able to offer the kids a better-for-them option instead of just plain, boring water. These are fun and Charlie thinks it’s soda. I’ve explained to him that the regular water is made fizzy and then if he wants to, we can add a little flavor to it. And of course, Owen wants whatever Big Brother has and I don’t feel guilty at all for giving it to him!

And it’s not just great for kids! The new SodaStream Waters are a great low calorie option for anyone that wants to give their sparkling water a little life! They’re made with all natural sweeteners and colors.

You can buy SodaStream machines and products directly from the SodaStream site or your favorite retailer! Sodastreamusa.com offers free shipping on all orders over $50. You can find the latest SodaStream offers at http://cbi.as/1b41h.
