Thanks to Jenny Craig for partnering with me on my weight loss journey.

This year while on Jenny Craig, I've lost almost 50 lbs (Avg. 1-2 lbs lost per week)! That's huge! While our instinct to celebrate anything is to treat yourself to dinner or dessert, it seems counterproductive to reward your successful weight loss with a big bowl of ice cream, doesn’t it? There are better ways to reward yourself for all the hard work you’ve put in! Check out these non food reward ideas for weight loss.

Get a manicure or pedicure

One of the best non food rewards for weight loss is a manicure or pedicure. It doesn’t have to be expensive, you can go to your local beauty college and get one for under $10. However, making yourself feel special is what this is all about. Getting a manicure or pedicure will do just that.

Buy yourself a new outfit

Another great non food reward is to buy yourself a new outfit. You’re already feeling great about your weight loss, so reward yourself with a pretty shirt or pair of pants. Buy whatever article of clothing that will make you feel extra special after losing weight.

Cross something off your bucket list

Another way to reward yourself for weight loss is buy crossing something off your bucket list. You can do this after you’ve reached a big goal. Let’s say it’s on your bucket list to visit the ocean. Make this happen! Use your bucket list as a way to motivate yourself to keep going. Losing weight isn’t easy and you need to find ways to continuously motivate yourself.

Schedule in an extra date with your spouse

Maybe you’re short on time or money and going on an extra date seems impossible. However, if you’re losing weight, you need to find a way to celebrate your success. One way you can do this is by scheduling an extra date with your spouse. No one is probably more proud of you than your spouse, so include them in the successful time in your life. Go bowling, to see a movie, or take a walk in the park. You don’t have to go out to dinner during this date night! Eat your dinner at home before you go, so you can stay on track!

Have a movie night in

Sometimes going out can trigger the want to reward ourselves with food. If you have been wanting to watch your favorite shows, but feel too guilty, use weight loss as a reward. Once you lose the first 10 pounds, allow yourself to binge watch your favorite series. Sometimes you just need to give yourself permission to do something like this.

Read some of these Jenny Craig success stories for some motivation! The best non food reward is one that makes you feel special and motivated. What works for one person may not work for another. What is the non food reward that keeps you motivated and going?
